JOKE: ..... my boyfriend lives in the future//searching for cars on line//r's abuse its church month

posted a bunch of stuff on my 79 pounds journal about the resorts we used to go to as a kid as they are gone now. so sad. but this joke sooooo applies to back then kind of humor. loving it.
its a super-cold 68 degrees at the minute. have nothing else to say. september is church month. was hanging with r and he tells me his mother used to beat him with a fan belt growing up. his mother died when he was 16 and i'm like you are lucky she died. he says he knows. he set the carpet on fire by accident when 13, and she beat him for 30 minutes (until SHE got tired) and then drove him to his grandmother's so she could beat him in his underwear with a switch from an azalea bush. always amazes me what people go through. and only in alanon do you hear a lot of it or during church month - september is church month. i said to r, did you go to church today and he is like. yup. and i'm like oh.
alanon is good for all victims of abuse. not just victims of alcoholics. abuse is abuse, whether its alcohol, narcotics or mental, the abuse itself is the same - comes out of nowhere and has nothing to do with the victim at all.
did NOTHING today. woke up groggy. searching for cars on line - lots of boring work doing that. it is a much better time to buy. so much of a difference. what a shock. like a few thousand different from september through january. reading the kayla series and loving it as well.
ate a fabulous romaine salad with ranch and parm cheese. had soup as well, but it affected my blood pressure have to find a way to thin it out i guess.

We are having nice fall-like weather here in Chicago. Not too hot, not too cold, and the sun is out today. I like this weather! Good luck with the car shopping! *HUGS*
It\'s cool in Jersey too...and WINDY! Goodness! The wind actually blew my Geraniums right off the porch and into the shrubs last week. I had to put bricks around them to hold them in place. It wrecked the plant! Back to Home Depot!!
Yes, abuse is abuse, and I\'ve heard nothing but good things about Al Anon!!

I\'ve never heard of September beening a Church month. That\'s a first but very interested in why.

r says his mother would drive him to the gas station, he, his brother and sister and tell him to go into the garbage and get a fan belt (to use to hit them!) this would have to be in the 70\'s or 80\'s, unreal that parents got away with that kind of thing! he says his father didn\'t know he was abused until he was an adult and they talked about it. he didn\'t live near them.
i\'m mainly writing this to remember. he told me awhile ago and i was in a good mood and i wasn\'t up to hearing it. did what i always do and let it go right passed me. wonder if it was church month then too because they do that, they bring up things to make people aware that many need a peaceful place to go that is reliable and that is church - church is the only place that doesn\'t change, stays the same permanently. yay. ONE thing. lol. the church, the sky, the ocean, the moon, the sun. that\'s about it. treetops maybe and animals. not too many reliable things out there.
can\'t believe she would have him go get the weapon she would be using against him. kids should be taught about social service and that there is a place to go. one of my ex\'s brother went into foster care as an emergency because of their father. when his father would get weird, he would go back there and they would call social service for him. he always had a place to go that his father wouldn\'t go to. his older brother was my x and he never had a place to go that he knew of and his father used to try to strangle him here and there. he would spiral and get weird. it still goes on and look at all the years, but with his new wife and kids he leaves the house before he gets overly strange. surprising how much of that is out there and everyone is hush hush about it.
