"If you marry a creative person know that some days you'll come home to a spotless house (thanks to a housekeeper. lol.)
and
some days dinner will be forgotten, the kids will be in pjs and it will look like you were robbed.
Find a way to appreciate both because the second will happen much more than the first."
spent too much time -- hours -- looking for a joke that i still can't find. grrrr. and no idea what site it came from or who's profile.
so went to the doctor and he is all pissy because they put me and another patient in a room in back and closed the door and they aren't supposed to close the door until the doctor sees the patient and the doctor closes the door. they couldn't find where the patients were. lol. not good and they were trying to close for the night. its a new facility, they just moved and its over 3000 square feet. the new place is big and no one is used to it and everything isn't labelled yet.
he says i still have to take iron (i stopped because it was upsetting my stomach and this also pissed him off. hmmmm, if it upset my stomach isn't it doing damage?). my hemoglobin went up 2 points which is good, but still not within acceptable range and it was borderline low before any of this happened. he thinks i have a slow leak somewhere. like from the car accident. wth? so much crap from a car accident. a lot of the numbers for the blood work are off. or it could be something even worse - such morbid news. was really surprised to see that because i thought the whole thing was resolving itself. then he wants me to have more tests AGAIN. don't even want to think about it. he was all grouchy, so it was hard to tell exactly what was what because he was all piss-off with his staff messing up when everyone wants to go home. the next set of tests checks for many more things. he also doesn't like that i went off statins on my own, even though last time he was fine with it. i'm back on niacin. but this time my cholesterol is up again and that freaks him out every time its happened. he says that cholesterol will kill you much faster than anemia will - cholesterol will give you a stroke or heart attack.
went to the masseuse and it was a female this time and not as good but still helps a lot. she messed up the credit card three times and didn't speak much english, plus her boyfriend was there visiting her at work (who does that?!). werid day. the mall is all done up for christmas but in a quieter way than ten years ago. there was no line for santa though. picked up bourban chicken with rice and veggies then had a problem with the rice next day. wth?
got my haircut at L's. i was in a piss-off mood myself by then. she has a truck and does some hauling with it for $50 per location. there is also a place called gene's hauling. didn't know that. she still doesn't have the wax set up so still need to get my brows done. she thinks she is about to get layed-off at the hospital where she is. she is doing nursing home work now, she says its pure labor and doing hair in a shop was better (but when she worked in the shop for over ten years, she used to come and go as she please and the new owner complained about it. have no idea how that is going to go).
i would think that nursing home work would be recession-proof. she still has her house and still hasn't refi'd it and is still trying to sell it. she bought for more than twice the value ten years ago when all real estate was super high and its NOT a 15 year mortgage which was dumb to begin with. i have been telling her for three years to re-fi with one of obamas plans that allow all refi's even if the appraised value is lower than the amount owed. she can't do a reverse because she isn't old enough yet. L owned a deli in hoboken, nj before she moved to florida, twenty or more years ago. the deli did well and she sold at a profit. the money made on that and the real estate is gone. i don't know if its from her divorce or from sending her kid to college, but its gone.

rn got her cholesterol down without statins. her doctor gave her the name of a vitamin called red yeast rice, 600 mg (60 in a bottle) put out by spring valley. you are supposed to take it with coq10. two times per day. her cholesterol went down 12 points just from that.
at least you can find something to joke about during all the hassles you\'re going through.
my doctor, a week ago, told me i was in \"disgustingly good health\"---from just taking my blood pressure, and asking if i felt sick.;)
