JOKE:
"Ate salad for dinner! Mostly croutons and tomatoes. Really one big round crouton covered with tomato sauce and cheese.
Fine, it was pizza. I ate a pizza." lol.

had another no-sho at work. grrrrr. would love to know what is going on out there. this one rescheduled. if i say this to our recruiter they smile and kind of laugh, like want my job - recruiters talk to HUNDREDS of people and schedule just as many and go through more and i know that. human resources though it pays well, is supposed to totally suck as a job.
i'm tired and annoyed - but not sure how much of that is from being peri-menopausal. so every time i get grouchy i tell myself to wait it out just in case. they now have pet ag at super-walmart if anyone does animal rescue its good to know. its superior formula to hartz, though both kmr's work.
so then, one of the reliable guys comes in and he may need more hours, that was the second in house guy in a row. wow! if this keeps up, i won't need to hire anyone. yay!
tried to reach the old guy who is supposed to do allll the fill in (lol., he has never done that part of his job EVER and he used to get into fights with the former supervisor about it. i don't even bother, though its ridiculous for him to have any kind of a title when he is a total waste of space). so the call gets no answer at all. pretty odd when nowadays there is voice mail and answering machines. hmmmm.
so i'm looking through our auction list and there is acreage closer to the ocean (20 minutes) that is the same price as the land rby found. hmmmm. never expected that good fortune, wouldn't even have thought to look there for something like that. i'll still go look at the towns by rby, at least as a good will gesture before i move onto something else ... amazing was right about it ten years ago - she said developers won't do it and the people out there don't know how to at all. and then she kind of laughed. amazing that happens - people just let entire towns go or parts of town. so sad.
kv says if ck is dumb enough to believe what the old guy at work comes up with, someone should sell ck some swamp land as well. true. though the old guy is very convincing. and disgusting. he should move to hollywood, california and make movies, he is that convincing/sincere and he is TOTALLY LYING. why stay here. saw tna briefly and she says 7 out of 12 were returned and that is why the vp was let go. after 30 years? wow. nothing surprises me with business. and better to honestly be let go than to go corrupt to keep your job or save money and so many do the latter.
had dinner at k's. what did we eat? hmmmm. hard to recall if a couple of days pass. i brought over the pumpkin cream pie (in the freezer since december) its edwards, so always good. and i brought over his phone sets from the other guy, one of which has an answering machine on it. yay! we had sweet white wine with cranberry. yum. we had a big salad. we had london broil as the main course with veggies, mine was medium well and his medium rare. it was excellent, though i hate to say that because i'm against meat eating of any sort. i made hard boiled eggs finally to make egg salad, instead of going to the new cafe (they get the orders wrong all the time, even if you write it down for them, though their egg salad is cheap and great). we had coffee. got billing and stuff done and need to get more packing done and canvas for the swing in the yard.
found a new flea med, hope it works the ingredients are identical to frontline plus. and used the pet armour plus instead of advantage-multi on the dogs, and it seems to work. in the summer i'll order nexguard to be on the safer side. rn says the mom cat came back from the pound with a cold and gave it to her kittens. she's pissed about it. and the grey one has a scratch by its eye that looks crusty. very odd. so its on ivermectin once per week.
i'm still mourning whatever happened to bert and misty. its sickening. bert was already on hold for an assisted living. misty was just over a year old and super friendly. that situation is sick. the realtor said there was something wrong with that street the whole time. i was there last night and the dog wasn't out and didn't see the man's cats that are usually loose, so i said to c, does that mean they are poisoning tonight? disgusting people. real sarcastic and he just stares at me. c was supposed to be leaving moist cat food inside the cat door, inside the house, until the two missing ones show up. three if you count mimi (she was also on hold for an assisted living. grrrrrr). what total scum those people are.
now i know what people are talking about when they go through this. we had one recently who gave up three, and i'm thinking don't bring them to this pound, they are a kill shelter with a non-existant foster program since m left. they are now one step up from what it was there 10 years ago, when they were super high-kill with no program. their new person, will transfer out animals, that is her step up, but she has no intention of fostering out more than a hundred nor informing the public that if they leave newborns at the pound they will kill them on the spot. hmmmm, why take the job if you have no intention of doing the job? i'm STUNNED.
they claim the other woman who is there was harrassing over supplies they normally give one of the transfer groups (hmmm, i think they normally did stuff like that forever, because they get sooooo much of it. wouldn't it be best to keep quiet and learn rather than cause troubles. OR stick with the side of the pound that you actually understand). that place will never get it together. the no kill place here should buy them out, she has the money easily (she received more than princess diana in her divorce settlement) and just start fresh. seriously. all the no kill people would come back if that happened.

so this is the next day, though i think it says friday on here anyway. this guy used to be a manager and demoted himself because he expected a 45 hour week and was paid for that, but the real number of hours was 65 to 75 so hour for hour, it wasn\'t $18 per hour. he is now a shift supervisor. lower pay, $15 per hour, but only 38 hours for real. hmmmmm, so why are you here? i know why, it starts out looking for part time work that pays full time salary....except nowadays, it doesn\'t because the market SUCKS. lol. which i pointed out. he seems okay though.
then d calls, and he is another one with medical troubles (EVERYONE at once, seriously) he had surgery on his varicose veins, i runs in his family, so he is having trouble getting around so they cut him to one day. wtf? can you imagine. you just had surgery and they your work goes after you as well. so that saves me finding a person for that spot. yay! because i promote from within and give out hours from within. also the new guy likes mornings he says. you don\'t know until they are around for a few months though, anyone can SAY anything.
so i am hugely relieved and have to see if i have enough. may not, as summer is coming and all of us will want time off, so still will need another. then the old guy says, i should cut the other sick one with copd because he is ill, oh, and the old guy cut a vein and has stitches, except n doesn\'t believe him. hmmmm. says he was walking around normal before. the old guy lies so much, i never know what is what with him so i ignore him. he gets to work on scheduled days, that is what he does right....i\'ll stop
so still doing the hiring bit and still annoyed that its taking too long. would love to just get the money through and get real here. grrrrrr.
at work, we have a guy with copd, a guy with vein surgery, a guy on blood thinners who\'s vein explodes (blood) if bruised, i think that is all. i know that is basically normal, but seems weird
