Joined an online Support Group
This is my first journal entry here but I've always loved writing. When I consider all that's going on in my life anxiety isn't that high right now. I want to keep it that way. I'm not currently seeing a therapist nor in any support groups so this place seems like a good fit. I recently finished the arduous and extremely frustrating task of applying for retirement and disability. The paperwork almost killed me!! It was a nightmare for a while, deadlines, filling out forms, sending them to the correct place and the correct time. I am legally blind so it was hard. I did it though and now, hopefully, I'll have a break. This morning I listened to the news, which I usually avoid. The Ebola thing is very scary to me because my daughter is a nurse. They are ramping up for elections, there is no rain in sight, yadda yadda yadda. Being retired is great but it gives me too much time to think. I know there are plenty of tools to help me, and I've used them successfully in the past, but finding it hard to concentrate and take action. I write lists....then lists of lists. I need a secretary! Oh wait, I was a secretary!
