I am utterly lost in despair. My three adult sons won\'t even acknowledge me. I can\'t see my grandchildren. This started eight years ago - I divorced their father after 31 years of marriage because he had become an alcoholic and physically abusive.
Why can\'t they understand that I stayed much longer than I should have, and had to leave for my own safety? Why do they think it\'s okay that their dad did this to me?
We were so close their entire lives, until this happened.
Is there anything I can do? I have called, emailed, written letters apologizing for whatever I did. No response.
