JOB? SCHOOL?

Went for my interview, I wasnt too excited about the job. I mean YES I am desperate but nothing excited me about it! They did not talk salary, I said I wanted XX/ hr and I got a funny look from the office manager! Also, they give u med insurance but it is about $400-500 every month! F THAT!!!! SO... they told me they would let me know by the end of the week what they thought.
After leaving there yesterday I called the school I had taken a tour of!They told me about the programs for unemployed people. How you can get  money just for being on unemployment plus apply for grants etc!!! I remembered the woman who gave me info and I called her... just so happened I had this meeting with a careear center today and that was exactly what I needed to do to get the aide!!!! The program starts in Jan and is only 4.5 months!!
Since I am on unemployment I can receive aide from the state, it would be 5500$ off my tuition at any school!!! Which is great!!!! Plus I am over 24 and independant so I can get grants etc!!! 
I am just all confused now!!! what do i do?????
Why shouldnt I do this? I would make less money because I would not have experience in the career. Thats really the only thing I can think of. But Right now There are no jobs and I need something to keep me busy... If its free why not? I can also take another course afterwards to make me more marketable?! SOOO Confused!!!
