Job
I didn't know how to title this journal. So it's just, job.
I got a job this afternoon. Not what I want but I'll make do until something better comes along. It's a little short on pay than I used to make. It's at the GE plant here in Decatur. It's what we call a river job. That means stability, good pay, good benefits (BCBS) and the companies are going to last till the end times. It's one of the plants on the Tennessee River.
I start tonight. I check in at 10:15 at the visitors entrance.

you got a job that is great and I want you to know that the lower than you are used to pay just means you need to get out there and play music and earn some money on the side.....not talking about sitting on corner with the guitar case open hoping that people will toss a few bucks in the case....I think they call that Busking? and I think if I remember correctly you were planning to do some of that.....I think it would be better to get with some other musicians and play gigs or set up some solo gigs for yourself inside restaurants or other places like bars....
it would increase income annually....maybe not hourly but more money did not ever hurt anyone willing to work for money....
Thx y'all's. I would like to get with a drummer and bassist at least. Maybe a steel player.
Yes, thats busking. Still like to try it. Might soon.
This is great news! So happy for you. It will help you feel better about life even if not the perfect or preferred job. We never know and sometimes we are surprised by the good that comes out of taking that job we don't feel is #1.
Keep on with your music as it gives you joy. Remember that .
Thx hasty_05. Music is best described as audible spirituality. It's complicated to describe into words as it's like describing a spiritual experience into words.
It's one of those things you understand through experience. If you don't experience it at all, it's still ok. Not everyone has that connection.
Music is a need for some people, like for some needs sunshine everyday or food or water. Some consider it as the same as breathing. Music os life.
My kind is rare. I hear music everywhere. A rambling creek has a rhythm. The tree's moving from the wind has rhythm. Just close your eyes and listen for the change in the sound. You'll hear nature repeat itself in different forms.
Thx everyone for your support. It means a lot to me.
