Jessica and DCF
Jessica went to her dads on Wednesday and on Saturday DCF came to my house and wanted info concerning an incident on Friday night. Come to find out her dad and his girlfriend was arguing and he started choking her and Jessica pulled her dad off of her. When the girlfriend finally escaped outside he followed her outside and choked her again. The police were called and her dad went to jail. Jessica never called me and I had no clue. The reason why The Department of Children and Families (DCF) was called was because there was children involved. I went and picked Jessica up and brought her back home. She is not gonna see her dad for a lllooonnnggg time.

Oh how horrible for Jessica and you Sweetie. How is she doing now??? Why the heck didn\'t she call you??? Did she tell you why...If this happened on Friday night, when did she come home??? You have so much on your plate right now that you sure didn\'t need this. Will she have to testify in court?? Another thing that you and she do not need. Sending gentle hugs to both of you. I went and got her on Saturday after DCF left.She said she didn\'t call me because it was 1 AM when she went to her friends house.I do not know about court... That\'s all I need.
Bummer Jeanne..think an absence from Dad..might be in order. Reckon he has a history of violence? Hang \"tuff\" dear..you are her \'rock\'...

OMG Jeanne! My heart goes out to you and to Jessica. My main concern is that her dad will turn his anger on to his daughter when he really needs to take responsibility for his abusive behavior. You are wise to keep her away from her dad until/if he gets some much needed help. Jessica is so lucky to have you as her guardian. I\'m so sorry that she had to not only witness her dad\'s aberrent behavior but felt she needed to jump into the middle of a dangerous situation to diffuse imminent danger. Jessica grew up a great deal that night and made some very adult decisions. You have taught her well Jeanne. She went through hell but your lessons saw her through a very very difficult situation. Hope you are holding each other close....awwww I KNOW you are!
