January IVF
So I am currently on birth control this month and I have an appt with the RE to go over what the next step is and hopefully we will know when I get to start the shots in January for IVF. I am scared that I wont be able to handle the hormones as I have Generalized anxiety disorder and panic attacks. But I am ready to have a plan set, I think that helps make me feel better.

Good luck! I\'m sure you will do great. I didn\'t feel any different on the meds... no crazy moods or anything like that. But just be sure to stay hydrated and take care of yourself. Do whatever you can/need to keep your spirits up. It goes a long way!
Thank you! I am really hoping I will be ok. I\'ve already been telling people that January is \"no stress January\" and to not bring their drama my way!! LOL!
For me, having a plan was EVERYTHING! I set up appts with a therapist who specializes in infertility, bought meditation mp3s, and was proactive at every stage of this process. It turns out I had worked myself up over what proved not to be nearly as bad as I expected! In fact, it was completely tolerable & the meds didn\'t bother me one bit! (I was really nervous about that part, since I don\'t drink or smoke or do any drugs, & am very conscious about what I put into my body). But that\'s my personality. The anticipation is always more troublesome than the real thing! Good luck to you as January nears!!! :)
I\'m incredibly Type A, and I found that setting up my meds on a TV tray in my bathroom was REALLY helpful. I grouped all meds and paraphernalia (i.e., syringes and Q caps) together, and I even laid them in out in the order I took them. This might help you be less anxious ...
Another thing to keep in mind -- and I don\'t mean to scare you -- is that it\'s OK if you mess your meds up during the cycle. It happens to the best of us, and it completely freaks us out, but everything will turn out OK. I didn\'t properly mix the Menopur one night my first cycle, and I started one of my other meds late my second cycle. I was practically hysterical on the phone with the nurse the next day, but she talked me down from the ledge and said it would all work out ... and it did.
Take some deep breaths, and you\'ll be fine. You\'ve got this! Good luck!
I had an appt with my RE and we start the shots on Saturday! I am glad and excited and scared out of my mind! But really just glad to finally get this started as we have been on a waiting list for two months. Waiting isn\'t easy for someone with anxiety!! Please God let this work!! I want to be a mommy so bad.
Congrats for getting the go-ahead! Take the process one day at a time. Thinking too far ahead is enough to drive anyone insane. ;) Keep us posted on your progress!!!
Thanks and I will keep ya posted!!!
I get to start the shots tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shots are going really well so far!!!!!
I knew it! Great news!!!
