I know, I promised I would get back to the past journal entries but I have something to say....
I did my 1st steps in enrolling in an online program at Ashford University in Iowa. For my BA in healthcare administration. I will probably start at the end of this month. 1 course at a time for 5 weeks. It shouldn't be too bad. Im off work so I might as well do something with my time. So....I decided not to do the medical billing program and do this.
I need to do something because my student loan will go in default in a month. This should stop it. Inschool deferrment. This is what I need to do.
Thats it for now. Back to my bottomless pit of job nothingness. I am getting no where with my associates degree. Jeez...what a waste!
I had 1 job interview that was 8 an hour. $8!!! are you kidding me. with someone with 19 years in healthcare and to go down to a stinking receptionist job. Note to self: Do not apply for Patient Service Reps. Its a disguises the "receptionist" job as a nother term. Jeez......
Thanks for letting me vent. No computer classes for the next 2 weeks. They BETC is offering Excel 2007 again and I already have it. Would be the same shit again.

I would think $8 an hour would be good . Especially since you don\'t have it.
thanks for the well wishes. Holybones - Uh...yes i do, I bring home $341 take home from unemployment - which means the job is $40-50 less than that. So....8 an hr would be worse. Best to stay where I am now, collect unemployment and continue my job search.
No education is a waste and I praise your Associates degree. Continuing education will always help. The reason for such low hourly pay is not to disqualify your skills but because the job market has been very slow and families need anything they can get, anywhere, when they have children and need to put food on the table. I feel for the challenges you are facing and add that none of those who are currently employed can hold their position comfortably. In today\'s economy, worldwide, we are all under scrutiny and can lose the job in a blink of an eye -regardless of seniority, experience, loyalty, dedication and proven ability to excel. All the best to you.
I think you\'re making a good choice. Going to school online is a little different and wasn\'t for me. I prefer a more traditional classroom, but it\'s a wonderful option and you\'d be able to continue with it even when you get a job.

that is truly sad, you have been through sooo much your so strong :) i feel as if im being with my boyfriend because i dont wanna be lonely. i know completely different siturations but feel theres always fire between us. thank you for sharing your story... im still working on mine, as i have not been online much lately... your a top friend :)
