Jalee has passed
On Dec. 22 - 2014 My wife and best friend passed away. The whole ordeal lasted three weeks. Jalee suffered chronic pain that slowly escalated over fifteen years. On Dec . 1 The pain was excruciating. I suggested we go to the hospital but she declined. This was not unusual as the pain increases and decreases randomly. How ever I think her resistance caused a stroke.
Eventually she was moved to hospice up stairs in the hospital. I stayed with her all day everyday. Leaving only for a couple of hours when her daughter would stay. Nurses suggested that she was waiting for something....somebody to arrive, somebody to leave,everyone to leave?? After a week in hospice I thought I would leave and collect our dogs in the evening then return in the morning. I couldn't do that. I told the Chaplin and the nurse "Every other man in her life FAILED her. I can't I won't leave her alone." We were beside the bed and I believe she heard me. Three hours later she passed. She wasn't 61 yet.
Jalee struggled from her teen years. Mean stepfather. Abusive husbands. After she me me her body started to break down. Talk about unfair.

My heart aches for you in the recent loss of your dear wife. I\'m glad she found love with you after the sadness of her earlier life. I know it comforted her to know you were there as she passed from this life. You are right - life is not fair. You will find compassion and support in this group. The more you post, the more response you will receive. People here understand the pain you are in and the hard days as you travel the grief journey.
