IVF shots tonight
I'm sooooo bored at work right now. I need to write about the exciting next steps: we start shots tonight!
It's been almost a year since we really tried to conceive (ok, there was one month when we tried, but the doc quickly told us to stop! because of my wonky tube).
I'm so nervous! on the one hand we want a baby, and yet on the other hand I'm terrified by what this will mean in our lives. Which way will make us more fulfilled and happy people? I have no way of knowing so I must trust my instincts that we must continue to try.
The emotions related with trying are really hard at the moment. I may not have it in me to try more than once. So I guess I'm putting all of my eggs in one basket - literally.
DH keeps reminding me that there is a 60% chance we will succeed so in his eyes we are already pregnant. We had our last bottle of wine together last night and now I must stay sober through the new year - maybe longer if things go well!
I have to give myself the shots so we'll see how it goes...

Good luck! It is an exciting time. You will quickly find the shots are no big deal but that first one is tough :-) hugs to you!
Yay endo, I\'m so excited for you and DH!! It will work out the way it\'s supposed to and it\'s wonderful having a supportive and positive DH!!! Mine has stayed positive through it all!! When do you start stims??

Good luck with your IVF cycle! I was worried about our lives changing when I had our son. I am not gonna lie your lives do change but it is sooooo rewarding. I was also worried that DH and I would not be as close. We are closer now than we ever were before. Try not to worry :) I was given a 60% chance of success and I now have a sweet baby boy to cuddle. Good luck! The shots are scary the first time, but after awhile, it becomes no big deal. Just keep remembering that you\'re doing this all for your future and your goals. It will pay off in the end.
YAY to getting to start and YAY to kicking off with a bottle of wine ;-) That\'s the only good thing about AF these days, is getting to have some! I\'m terrified of shots too...I had my mom (a nurse) do my first trigger, then I did my 2nd trigger all by myself! I was so proud. I did numb with an ice pack first tho cuz i\'m a sissy..
