IUI scheduled for tomorrow & Wednesday!
This morning I went in for an u/s and blood work. I've been going everyday since Saturday so RMA monitors you very well which is great. Also I didn't have to pay my co-pay! They said when you are "in cycle" they don't charge a co-pay, holla!! My other RE did so that was a nice surprise. I have a lot of eggs, but I think 2-3 will be ready by ovulation. I was instructed to take the Ovidrel shot tonight and return Tues & Weds for IUI. I told them that my insurance doesn't cover double IUI and the DR said no that's okay - this is how we do it here. So I'm pretty much getting an extra IUI at no charge. Again, so glad I made the switch to RMA!
Only thing I was thinking about was the fact I am taking the trigger shot tonight and returning tomorrow. Don't you usually go in about 36hr or so after the trigger shot? Maybe because I am getting a double iui now the process is different? Has anyone ever had double IUI and went in the morning after their trigger shot?

Wow, I\'ve never heard of a double IUI, but it makes sense. I don\'t know why you are triggering the day before, but my guess would be in case you ovulate early and also those spermies live for 72 hours. When I did my IUIs, they always had me come in 2-3 days before ovulation, but I didn\'t do a trigger shot for them. Sounds like you have all bases covered though. I was thinking the same thing about the spermies. A BFP would be great, trying to be hopeful but not too much so that I am a mess if I\'m not. Hope you are doing well with your 2nd mini ivf! Fingers are crossed for you!

I go to RMA in New York..... Great facility! The norm is IUI 36 hours after trigger BUT if possible doctors will do two days in a row as an extra precaution. Whenever I did IUI I did two days in a row. If its free I think you should go for both days. Even if you had to pay, when I did my IUI at RMA it was cheaper then an ultrasound monitoring appointment. Oh, when I did two days they would be they two days following trigger..... So if I triggered at 6pm Monday, I would go in Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Wednesday only if I chose one IUI.
That\'s great to know you go to RMA as well. I hear great things about them. Also good to know that it\'s the norm to go in the morning after the trigger shot. Thank you for that info!
I went to rma for a consult once too. I think double IUi is theoretically great... It must maximize your chances! I hope it works!!! :)
I think it\'s good to get two in, with the life of the little guys it just gets you more coverage so I guest I ups your chances and this way they are sure not to miss your window if you ovulate on the fast side.

Double IUI sounds like a great idea. I\'ve been offered them, but i\'d have to pay another IUI fee to do so, so i save my money to give me another shot down the road. That\'s great that they\'re working with your insurance! good luck and hoping this works for you!!
Thank you, Nellysgirl! I wasn\'t able to have a double IUI at my last RE either. I called to double check and make sure I wouldn\'t be billed but RMA uses a code so they said it didn\'t matter if I got 3 IUIs down this cycle it would all be covered. I was pleasantly surprised!
