it's been a very sad, and emotional day. thank you angel friends for being here for us

Hi angel friends, thank you from all of us, my mom (Ann), my dad (Charles), Holly and i, and our entire family, for your comforting love, care, prayers, and condolences. we feel you all with us in spirit, and hugging our hearts <3 it's been a very sad, and emotional day. we all are clinging close together, talking, sharing, and still very much in deep shock, about the passing of my brother Charlie. he was my parents first child. my parents went down to his house in the city earlier, to be there. it's been very emotional and sad day. we've been taking things a minute at a time, as we cope, and grieve. we learned my brother went out friday late afternoon/early evening to go fishing, and sent my mom text with picture of himself on the water, in his canoe. he was with his upstairs neighbor, who went fishing with him. the guy kinda was like a son/friend to  Charlie. we believe Charlie passed away in his sleep, sometime friday night into saturday. my mom's been in communication with the medical examiner, in Farmington, ct. they took Charlie there, and his autopsy is going to be performed tomorrow.we're very sad, lots of sadness taking over our hearts, and we're in stunned disbelief. the police who went to Charlie's home after 911 was called, allowed my mom to take some of Charlie's personal belongs, for contact/information, including his wallet, cell phone. my mom was able to see the last text message Charlie sent was around 7pm on friday evening. his upstairs neighbor, told my parents he knocked on Charlie's door, and no answer, and looked in his room window, and saw Charlie laying in bed,  he thought he was sleeping. my mom was concerned this morning, as she hadn't heard from Charlie since friday evening. she told Jenn, who was at work, and she asked Mike to go over to his house, which is next door, and Mike found Charlie. We still can't believe he's gone, it just feels so numb, and surreal. my mom was showing me a text on her phone, that Charlie sent her recently, and he was over-joyed that he got a canoe, he said, "i can't believe i own a boat". august 20th, Charlie had texted  me, and he wanted to know if Holly and i could help him get a canoe, as it was a dream of his. Charlie was in a coma in 2020, due to pneumonia, and pulled through,  and was getting back into some things he loved, like nature, he and i texted often about birds, our gardens, and Holly and i gave him lots of cucumbers from our garden over the years. To hear, Charlie wanted to get a canoe, and was so excited to go fishing out on the water, it was very special to Holly and i, and we feel very proud ,and honored, to have helped him achieve a dream, of being able to fulfill his wish ,of going fishing out on the water. we were outside with Charlie, when he came over here on August 20th, he had his fishing poles in his car,  and he was ready to go get that canoe, and he did. it's  made us feel very emotional, knowing that this past friday, just a few days ago, Charlie was living his dream come true, out on the water, fishing. he had been through a lot over the years, like i mentioned, he went through many health ailments, including having drinking issues over the years, and seeing that picture of him out there, on the canoe, he was happy, and enjoying something he dreamed of, and we were at a special part of that, we will forever find comfort, that we were able to do a little, to make a big dream in his heart come true.

we miss him very much. Jenn and Alyssa have set up some go fund me pages, for his funeral costs. we as a family are going to decide, his memorial, and funeral. it's just so very raw, and still feeling very surreal to us, we need some days, to really let our emotions, and feelings settle. Charlie's cat Fudge has been brought in by his upstairs neighbor friend. my mom's recieving lots of calls, and texts. we're all taking it very hard, my brother Bobby, sister's Lisa, and Jenn. Charlie will always be with us. i want to write, to share, stories, memories, in loving memory of him, it's just very hard and sad right now, thinking of memories, and stories ,i begin to tear up. just gonna need some time. Holly and Tiger girl have been with me here, and many friends reaching out. thank you all so much, for being here for us all. You all are like a big DS family to  us <3 writng helps me in so many times, and i know writing right now, will continue to help, with the cope, and grieving. i felt very close to Charlie, in our sharings, of sports, nature, and he was always a protective brother to us all. he was the oldest of us 5. his loving spirit, and memory will live on through us, in our hearts, with the fondest of memories, that we will forever treasure. we'll forever be thankful for the years he was with us, and times we got to share. he was at Mikey's birthday party in August. he know we all loved him, and always will, and we'll continue to find comfort in that each day.he will always be our big brother, whether they called him Charlie, Charles, Chuck, to me, he was and always will be, Buddy <3 i will share more about his life, memories, and stories, it's just so tough right now, i tear up thinking of all of the times, and will need time to let all of the emotions, and feelings settle.

we're gonna try our best, angel friends to keep with our days, and traditions like we can, from day to day, but right now, our hearts are very deep with pain, sadness, and sorrow. i want my brother to know, we will remember him in every tomorrow <3 Thank you all again, our dear angel friends. We love you <3

Charlie, years ago, achieving one his goals and  dreams, of climbing Mt. Washington in New Hampshire. he was very proud of this achievement.

Dearest Chris and Holly. I am so sorry that you are the having to go through this. I know how hard it is to lose a sibling. It is so great that Charlie doesn't his last evening on the lake doing what he enjoyed and that you and Holly helped to make that happen. That last picture of him will be forever treasured. I am especially keeping your Mom and Dad in my prayers no parent should ever have to plan a funeral for their child. Hug them often over the next couple weeks. They are going to need those hugs. Also stay close to your other siblings at this time and enjoy all the memories that you will share forever. Sleep well tonight.

Very sorry for your loss. The memories will live on in your hearts. Those can't be taken away. And Charlie will be close by watching over you. He might even reach out when you least expect it and let you know he's there.

Thinking of you and your family at this difficult time and sending lots and lots of hugs and prayers. He will always have your memories and he will forever live in your hearts..
I know it’s very devastating to you to lose a brother, but I remember how devastated my parents were when we lost my brother, so make sure you are there for them, they will need all the support they can get because no parent should ever have to bury a child.
Sending lots of love and hugs along with my prayers
