Its Been a Long Time

Its been a long time since I have been on this site. I have been going through some personal things from love, life, school, raising my teenage son, and of course dealing with Graves. Yes I have Graves Disease and I had it for over ten years. I was set to have surgery for it in 2007 and well I got a little scared and changed my mind and then decided later on in 2012 to have it done and I have to say that I don't regret it not one bit. I had the surgery on the 5th of December and that was a year and two months ago with today being the 2nd of March but it will be two years this December that I had it and I am not done. I have to have some lower lid surgery to correct the closure of my eyes and I am just awaiting the date and time for that to take place but so far so great.. I am loving life, single and enjoying college. I will be graduating with a double major in Psychology and Business Leadership in June of this year just to return to college (fingers crossed) to the local college here where I live to continue my degree in Psychological Counseling to work with our troubled youth of today...or to become a teacher. Either way I'll be working with children...My passion...
Due to the surgery and the taking of steroids for swelling I did put on some weight so I am once again on my weight lost journey but all in all I am doing fabulous. I am loving the skin I am in even though my bones hurt like crazy at times and my eyes are still watering from time to time but they are not bulging I can wear my glasses without being annoyed and I am looking more and more like the woman I remember before all of this happened.. Life could not be better for me... <3

I hope all are doing well and life is treating you all good....if you want to know more about my surgery follow the link to the blog and you can also join my group if you have a Facebook page...the links are below....Take care and God Bless! <3..My blog:http://uniquelyoutspoken77.blogspot.com/2013/07/orbital-decompression.htmlFacebook group:https://www.facebook.com/groups/ThyroidDiseaseWarriors/
