"Italian ice with a soft warm pretzel dipped into it"//cc is missing//morris is still ill
"... Italian ice is called water ice in the Phili/Delaware area ... 'we eat water ice — best with a warm soft pretzel dipped into it." (have to remember to try it with the warm pretzel?)

From a young age, you’re taught to hold your own, stand up for yourself and ignore all the hate that a lot of other people seem to feel toward this proud city (wonder why? its usa's first capitol, before washington d.c. was even built).
It’s subtly engrained in you that you are not going to be the type of person who takes shit from anyone.

I relate the most to the phili site, the biloxi site, the miami site, and the suburban phili site. this is hilarious because i spent about half of my earliest years in maryland and europe, though a lot of that was the delaware shore area soooo.....the maryland and delaware sites aren't busy at all, and the miami site has a lot of city of miami instead of suburb of north miami beach, which is what we are. its all changed down there anyway. even the keys have changed.
everything changes. i wanted to add to the pet peeve thing, "new workers, who are in this office complex about 3 months, so now consider themselves veterans, who don't know you, so they ask "how you like the job so far" hmmmm, i've been here over ten years bud and ten years ago you were still in elementary school you arrogant twit.... lol. but i don't say that. think it though, even though i was like that probably at some point, we've all been cocky 18 year olds....amazing though. i SAY, i've been here over ten years and then they grin and leave. still missing good manners eh? 18 years later and you still don't have manners? amazing.
nothing going on really. morris is still ill. wth? rn thinks its something they are born with. she said this the whole time. grrrr. hate that. it has anemia and that can be indicative of many things. shopped for animal supplies and brought rn some - both she and b are low on funds. b should move to tampa where there is work, or south dakota and really make a killing while he still can. but he doesn't want to be more than ten blocks from where he is. lmao. people AMAZE me when they are like this.
had dinner at k's. he had someone look at the ceiling at the other house. i still think he should use the guy that did the bathroom. he is thrilled that the rip off guy down the street is gone. he lucked out with that. watched inspector gently - a good one. they have a good writer. it was about a summer family camp that was corrupted. the stuff they did it on actually happens, and they exposed some of that on the movie "dirty dancing" many years ago in the resorts, which also have camps attached to them. amazing what goes on out there that no one talks about.
k made beef stew. he makes excellent stew, i normally don't even like stew, except his is really good. excellent salad as well, he puts everything in it, like asparagus and other vegetables in addition to lettuce and tomatoes. he should have owned a restaurant but he insists then he would hate cooking because it would be too much of it.
the hiding cat finally came out, there is one more hiding that is fostered and then adoption once they friendly up. one of the animals couldn't be fixed because it sniffled. m says the new vet is strict. she said its uri with eye infection but didn't include eye meds? wth?
i'm looking for land with a barn. seriously. and found a half acre with a large shed near the water. maybe. have to see how large the shed is. in photographs it looks like the size of a small house.
the asshole is still making noise nightly. it bugged me before but now that i discovered disrupted sleep causes cancer, i'm really pissed. j and g both claim she is from guatamala and i think i'm going to let j handle it. i'm shocked someone jerky like that even lives around here. cc is missing since monday that i know of. i've been so busy lately i can't tell - its sunday or monday. i know animals can roam for a couple of days, but its too long. i called and no one has picked her up or turned her in. hmmmm. need to ask the people on the next street that feed as well if they have her. she's extremely friendly. she can be adopted, i just need to know who and to fill out a form if its someone from right here.

oh, tonyR had a heart attack. he would have retired in december. get this, he still has to return to work, in order to retire properly in december. wtf? he is in texas now, in a hospital. he was there on vacation visiting his son when it happened. that is two people in just the passed few months who had totally unexpected heart attacks and returned to work. hope he is okay. he\'s a nice guy with a complicated personal life from multiple marriages, but that is just about everyone nowadays. in usa its even more complicated because our divorce laws vary from state to state. we were just talking about this yesterday at rn\'s, because she was shocked that florida doesn\'t have palimony. she says in texas after ten years of marriage you receive alimony. i didn\'t mention what i think of alimony, but whatever. she was saying that most people who say they are married nowadays really aren\'t, people don\'t want the legal complication. probably true.
you read something like that and it feels like tick tock tick tock. time really does fly by, are you accomplishing everything on your bucket list and resting in between or are you just resting and living the same year over and over again for 55 years. there is a difference.
what you also do is compare. generally its pretty good, its like i\'ve been all the ages that this or that asshole was and i\'m not like that. don\'t act like that. don\'t do the things they do or have the reactions they had. amazing. hmmm pat yourself on the back kind of thing. lol. the biggest thing you learn is that evil people don\'t kill off other evil people. they only kill good people. they also don\'t feel bad if they do evil things, they merely feel bad that they got caught.
It is sad how Philly has changed, but our pretzles and water Ice is still good.Or as most of us Philly people say warter ice, lol.
hey annie, isn\'t it more \"wooter\". lol. i like phili. i enjoyed living there. with photography they were always good customers as well, and there is always soooo much to do, just from the historical section and the museams alone....
i used to go up to the northeast section and shop in the russian grocery store there. so good and so different. i love unusual food.
