It would be to emotional!

As I wrap up this sordid tale  I think you need this story to understand my outrage at my father.  When I was working as the vise president of a New York company I was called by my father's wife.  I was told that my father had had a massive heart attack and if I wanted to say goodbye to him I had better be there tomorrow.  I went to American Airlines told them what had transpired and was on a flight out to Boston that evening.  When I arrived he was in Newton-Wellesly hospital in the ICU.  Every hour they would raise his feet above his head.  Every hour he had another heart attack.  He was coherant but rather confused as to what happened and what was going on.    My Aunt, father's wife and my cousins all told me to say goodbye as they didn't think he would last until morning.  I got in his doctors face, so close I was standing on his shoes, and asked why they were raising his feet above his head every hour.  I was told it was standard operating procedere for heart attack victims.  I asked hin to stop doing this.  He refused and I got very angry.  I ordered him transferred to Mass General.  My father refused to go saying that everyone that went in there died.  I told him to shut up and had him tranferred by ambulance that very night.  24 hours later at Mass General, they released him to go home.  They said that raising his feet over his head was killing him.  Besides that there was not much they could do for him that required that he stay in the hospital.  They could do all they needed to do for him as an outpatient.  I stayed with him for six weeks after his heart attack.  Took over his accounts recievable and made him a killing for him.  He was not a very astute business man.  This happened back in the early eighties.
