It was the Flu!
It wasn't a head cold. It is/was, I think, influenza. Two of my sisters had it and we all have the same symptoms. Kari went to the doctor and was told flu. She and I both had flu shots, but apparently it doesn't cover this particular strain. It last a good week or more. I am on day five, and feeling much better! I still fatigue easily, but that is not really anything new. My chest is congested now and breathing is somewhat labored, but otherwise I'm feeling okay. What I am really happy about is the fact that it wasn't another sinus infection! My sinuses were affected, but they didn't cause the problems, were just a symptom of the flu. I hope this means that FINALLY, when I get over this flu stuff, I will actually go back to good health! Please, please, please. Parent teacher conferences tomorrow and Thursday evening after teaching all day. Because we put in an extra day on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, we get Friday off. Well, not really 'off' because we actually already put in the time. No Avonex this weekend due to being so sick with flu. I'm not sure that I'll take it next week either. I'm not convinced that it doesn't hurt the immune system. I seem to come down with everything and anything and I don't think I would were I not on Avonex. I am thinking of going off of it completely and going on LDN only. I'll see what happens. I don't know if my neuro. would go along with this. I have suggested it once before and he wanted me to do both LDN and Avonex. Speaking of LDN, I ran out. I ordered more, but since it gets sent in the mail, it may not be here for a couple of days. I should have called sooner! MS memory at work again. Time for bed.
