it\'s okay........

T got off to school pretty easily this morning.  I dropped the parent resource packet off at the high school.  I hope it helps.   No calls from the school today but T didn't come home right after school like he usually does.  Great.....this was the day he and I meet the new caseworker. I miss his former guy, Alan, a lot BUT I do like her.  A little bit intimating, but that is okay.  She's good.  Thankfully.   Well, T did come home in enough time to meet her.  Here I thought he was off with his friends, joyriding...but that wasn't the case, he chose to serve his after school detention!  All these detentions are about tardies.  If he chooses to serve them the following day, of his tardy, he doesn't have to go to "Wednesday school" which is for 2 hours after school.   All this time he could have just served his one hour detention instead of the two hour one. Why?  Who knows?  All I know is he surprised me by going.  He had a lot on his mind so I know he forgot about the new caseworker.  I told her that he's been doing well - even though he didn't show up.  I don't think she believed me, at first.  I think after I was done and she met T, that she could see an improvement since what had been reported.   Because he had been doing very well, we allowed him - very, very last minute to attend a concert.  I HOPE it wasn't a mistake.....  we will see....
