It's my birthday...
It's my B-day and I remember when I had my surgery on May 6th, I asked my doctor if I would be walking by my birthday and he said barring any complications, sure. I was so hopeful. Craaaap!I finished my antibiotics for the staff infection of the blister and it had stopped draining. The nurse was coming everyday to freshly clean & bandage it. But now it's beginning to fill and drain again and the nurse won't be here until tomorrow -- that will make it 3 days with the same yucky bandage on. It's begun to seep through the bandages. The thing is giving me nightmares. And, I'm having walking dreams. I'm just sick about it. I want to walk, damnit!Anyone out there have or have had the same situation? My PCP told me there is a granulated spray now that you can spray on a healthy stump and it will harden the skin. I want some as soon and this heals! Anybody know anything about that?
