It\'s gotta be the machine

Today the weather around here is wonderful. We had a t-storm or three last night and the temperature is now in the low 80's and the air is in the green zone.  I seem to be breathing great and I'm not coughing. You may then ask "So what's your problem?"   I'm glad you asked that question. My problem is wth my peak flows. No matter how hard I try(and it is hard) or that I huff and puff, I am still in my high yellow zone. It seems the more I try the lower it gets, therefore I don't try as much. (Actually I usually give it a few minutes and try again if my readings are low. Just in case I was doing it wrong the first three times).   Since I feel so good, I feel it has to be the machine. It can't be me. I'm in the pink...sure there's the hypertension, diabetes, alpha1 deficiency and asthma, but other than that I'm as good as ever. Therefore I will see if my meter is still under warranty. There has to be a glitch in it somewhere.  Seriously, I do feel well. This drop in my pf is a bit alarming but it doesn't seem to bother me. I will keep a close eye on it though, just in case the meter is not broken. Tonight my wife and I are going to the Forest Park Muny Opera to see a performance of "My Fair Lady". The Muny is an outdoor amphitheater and is a lot of fun. The productions are usually first rate and we have season tickets. If I have any problems I can also leave without causing too much distraction...and they have medical help on site and a hospital nearby.Also, since it's an outdoor production, the dress is summer casual.(In my case,a polo shirt, cargo shorts, and my ancient sneakers) Now that's my kind of theater. I hope all are doing great. I think I'll smack the meter on the side a bit. Hey, it used to work for the TV. Be well,Tom
