It's gonna be one of those weeks...
I'm having trouble sleeping tonight. My mouth is dry and my tongue has been sore for the past several days, which is probably due to the dry mouth. So I decided to enjoy a nice hot cup of cocoa after drinking plenty of water and tea earlier, hop on Facebook and play around for a few minutes. Of course, one of the newest posts from an old acquaintance of mine is that she will be finding out the sex of her baby in another couple weeks. I had no idea she was even pregnant! And again, another friend of mine from college recently posted that she would be due in another 14 weeks and I had no idea she was pregnant, but now she's posting things about her cravings and appointments and whatnot so I can't really miss anything. Why does it always seem like everyone around me is pregnant?! Just when I think I have a handle on my emotions and can deal with all the new babies coming into my life, a new wave of pregnancies hits and I feel left out and jealous all over again! And here I was feeling pretty good about things after getting some work done in the basement. Not exactly where I had intended to start my cleaning and organizing rampage, but I was down there doing laundry and just sort of stayed down there. lol I actually didn't have a lot to throw away since we had gone through everything fairly recently, but the organizing part is proving to be a bit more of a challenge! I didn't realize I had quite that much stuff piled up down there waiting for a special home! But, that being said, I think I have an idea how to rearrange everything so there is more room on the shelving unit and in the closets. Thanks the Gods for the wonderful inventions of totes and baskets! lol Hopefully I can continue the work tomorrow and maybe actually be done with the basement... maybe no later than Wednesday if things go slow. It's progress at least, and that in itself makes me feel a little bit better about things in general.

I am in the same boat you are.. I have seven friend/acquaintances that are pregnant right now. Not to mention a cousin that is pregnant and her baby shower I have to go to next weekend. The thing that REALLY gets me is when people who swear up and down that they never want kids, get pregnant.. case in point with the cousin.. and two other friends who got pregnant the FIRST TIME they had unprotected sex.. sorry tmi. I havent gone to a baby shower in 8ish years because I knew I couldnt handle it. But I decided that this baby shower, I am going to go to it and have fun.. and I will have something witty to say (pre-rehearsed lol) for when someone says the dreaded, \"So Amber, when are you and Kevin going to have a baby?\"... or for those who know about our situation, \"This must be really hard for you seeing as you havent been able to have one\".. etc. *sigh*... I KNOW it will happen.. I envy all of your organising! I used to be so organised.. now it looks like a bomb went off in my spare room and bedroom! Good luck to both of us!! lol
