It's Friday!!
Woo hoo, it's Friday sisters! To us working gals, Friday is a good day! I had a day off yesterday to help with a shopping spree for a Make A Wish kiddo....she is 16 and has bone cancer and her wish was to go on a shopping spree with her family (sisters, best friend & grandma) - the day was filled with shopping, eating and talking....she had $2500 to spend which she spent very well!
I then stopped by to see Hunter and we had a nice talk @ McDonalds. He is getting so tall and everytime I see him it seems he is getting older, or is it just me? getting older. LOL I'm going with him & Bryn(legal guardian) (Jennifer's best friend) - to a day that is a family day regarding the loss of someone....not sure what to expect, but the fact that Bryn wanted me to go , I'm going. I supported Jennifer through thick & thin and I will do the same for Hunter, even though it will be a long day and I'm sure emotional.
May 7th is International Bereavement Mother's Day....Last year was the first year I had heard about this. Mother's day is so hard for me, not having other kids to celebrate with, having this day (May 7th) somehow makes me feel better that I can have a day with my Jennifer.
Well, probably should "do" something, considering the fact I am @ work...LOL

I start my Friday celebrations on Thursday's! I leave work around noon, LOL!
Love that you were able to spend the day shopping and enjoying the company of a special young lady. And Mickey D's with Hunter sounds like a solid hit!

Vicki, I think Bereaved Mother's day could be helpful. Just to be acknowledged is so validating.
Every Friday I text my grandchildren, who are now working adults and say "do the Friday dance!"
