It's FRIDAY!!! ( 06/06/13)

Well I made it to grand daughter's softball game last night...at least that is what they called it! LOL  If you have ever watched a bunch of first time little girls play ball, you know what I mean. The whole team is between 4-6 in age. Hey...at least she didn't play in the dirt!
I got some more exercise in last night at the game. Hubby pulled in so I wouldn't have to walk as far.  So I had to walk over to the laying field. Part way through the game I needed to use the restroom...so I had a good walk over and back to the facilities. Then of course, when the game was over, I had to walk back to the car.  So I definitely got my exercise in yesterday.

This morning it is a nice cool morning with the sun shining. I dropped granddaughter off at VBS and came home. I hesitated about doing my walk but knew if I didn't do it then, I knew I wouldn't do it at all. So I started on my walk heading south debating as to how far I would go today. I was going at a pretty good clip when I had to stop and tell myself this isn't a time race, it is more for endurance...and to slow it down else I was not going to make it. So after taking a  few deep breaths, I slowed my pace slightly. I just kept going. I made it all the way to the end of the block!!! I stopped and rested a minute and then headed back. I stopped and visited briefly with the next door neighbor on my way back.  Actually the hard part was walking up the incline on our driveway this morning!

Now you have to realize I have not been on a  walk in ages. I have stenosis and spondyltheses (sp?) in my low back which makes it hard for me to walk. So the fact I am trying to even take walks is a MAJOR deal for me.  I do seem to be feeling some better.
I am really beginning to wonder how long I have had the blood clots in my lungs. To me, it seems like the last few days I am feeling better then I have in a very long time! It seems like my breathing is a whole lot better also.  I know this probably means a bad day is coming as one usually happens when I have felt good for a couple of days in a row. The bad days are the ones that just totally throw me for a loop.  I know they are going to happen at this stage of the ball game, less then a month out, but still they frustrate me to no end.

Anyhow,I wanted to share my accomplishment this morning! I am proud of myself even if no one else is.
