It's Finally Over
The state has stepped in and will make sure my dad is in a safe, secure environment. No more worries about what is to become of him. It was a tough decision to just leave him in the hospital, but the right one. I couldn't go another day worrying that he has fallen or is starving. I know this is a nightmare for him, and I will be there for him if he wants me.
Thank you all for your prayers and kind words during this nightmare. There were times when I would re-read your post just to get through another day.

That is wonderful news - I know it is still painful, but I am so relieved for you. I had been so worried after reading your posts, and I know this has been such a struggle - on top of everything else! I hope it will give you a measure of peace this Christmas, too. Love and Big Hugs, Martha
