It\'s done
Well, it took me about 3.5 hours to author, but at 2:30 AM, I sent out my resignation letter...officially ending one of, if not THE, greatest experiences I have had in my entire life. Although I am very sad and empty right now, I am very thankful that I had an opportunity to spend six years of my life serving such a fantastic group of people. If you have ever seen the movie "Finding Nemo" (one of my son's all-time favorites) there a scene at the very end of the movie...where the aquarium fish have escaped to the ocean in plastic bags and the blow fish says "now what?". That's a question I have to find out for myself now...for I now feel like these fish...floating in the ocean in a plastic bag with no long term plan or direction. Although it is very sad, it is also kind of exciting in a strange sort of way. It's like being lost in a forest...although you may be confused, disoriented, and scared...there is this underlying adenelin rush of excitment and courisosity about "what will happen next". We'll see... I really want to use this opportunity to start a new chapter in my life that focuses even more in servicing the needs of others. It won't be the visually impaired any longer, but hopefully another group of people with greater needs. I've really grown partial to those who are lonely, since I myself am generally a very lonely person. At Sunday mass, when the priest says to pray for "those who are lonely" or for "those who have no one to pray for them", I am really moved. We'll see... In the meantime, Charlie Hall's music comforted/inspired me while going through this tonight. If you have never listened to any of his music, I would strongely recommend it. Again, thank you all my dear DS friends...for your support and word of encouragement. Although we have never met face-to-face and communicate from all different parts of the world...I feel so close to you all right now. So thank you so much...and God bless you and your families...

Dear Lord,
Thank you for giving John such a special heart. Thank you that you are with us in our pain, and that as the scriptures say, if we trust in you, as John does, then you will make our paths straight. And if we delight in you, as John does, that you will give us the desires of our hearts. (funny side note here, I almost wrote \"heats!\")
Give him full assurance of your hand in this, and of your leading him to green pastures and still, peaceful waters. Thank you for the blessing his friendship has been to me and to so many others here at DS. Fill his heart with your peace, contentment, and may he feel your supernatural arms around him at all times, soothing his own loneliness for now while you prepare the new friends you have in store for him. In Jesus name,
Amen.
ONE DOOR CLOSES AND ANOTHER OPENS... TRUST THE LORD AND LET HIM GUIDE YOU THROUGH THIS PERIOD IN YOUR LIFE...
Wow, good for you. You are a very brave and a good person. How could God not have something wonderful in store for you? I recently struggled with a decision I had to make and truly believe that God will put us where he wants us to be. This may not relate 100% to your situation, but I am reading a great book called Everything Happens for a Reason, by Mira Kirshenbaum. She states that there are ten different meanings of the events in our lives and one basic principle. The basic principle is that the good that comes out of the bad things that happen to you is to help you become your best, most authentic self. The ten different meanings for the event in our lives are: 1) To help you feel at home in the world, 2) To help you totally accept yourself, 3) To show you that you can let go of fear, 4) To bring you to the place where you can feel forgiveness, 5) To help you uncover your hidden talent, 6) To give you what you need to find true love, 7) To help you become stronger, 8) To help you discover play in your life, 9) To show you how to live with a sense of mission, and 10) To help you become a truly good person. I hope you find that special something where you can use your talents for helping people. God bless you. Teresa

There is a book I have never read but want to at some point. It is called just enough light for the step I am on. I feel like some times God puts us here for us to learn to trust him more. I know that whatever God has in store for you will be great. You are truly a man of God and I believe God has a very high calling on your life. Embrace this time as a time of growing and a time of rest.

people like u are always wanted hon u will find a great job oppurtunityxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I did that once with a job that was financially more or less rewarding, exceptional benefits etc. I was just unhappy. I began again in another kind of work working for less than subsistence as a trainee.
I never regretted it, because I was happier in the type of work. But it put marriage out of reach for many years. I will keep you in my prayers. Your experience and mine are not alike in that you are leaving a job that was one of the greatest experiences of your life. \"Lead kindly light amid the encircling gloom\" (John Henry Newman)
