It's been too long

I haven't been on here in ages! I have been tired and busy, as it always goes. I had surgery in September with a reasonably good recovery. But the exhaustion of ME/CFS and Fibro is making it so I cannot leave the house much without getting exhausted. I haven't been back to work since Christmas break even though I was scheduled to be back this past Monday. I just cannot do it. I have an appt with the Neuro on Tuesday to discuss options. I just can't do this anymore.
I've prayed and prayed and the answer I'm getting is 'quit working there.' It's not the answer I want--I don't exactly have another job option set up. But this is what I'm getting every day. So we're going to talk Tuesday about disability. I hope Dr G supports me b/c I don't have an option to keep killing myself over this job.
Meantime, as long as I don't go to work I am able to build a decent routine at home of taking care of myself, the house, studying, and not feeling dead by lunch. If I can get this change made, I could really improve my quality of life.
Thanks for reading! Have a great day!

Jenna, I\'m glad you were able to write an update. I have been wondering how you were doing. I hope you get the support you need from your doctor to be eligible for disability. I left work 10 years ago after a long struggle to try to keep working. Sometimes there is no other way!

Hello, dear. It\'s wonderful to hear from you. Honey, when I had surgery, it set me back a lot. I think you really are hearing correctly. I don\'t know how you can go on the way you are. I saw my neuro yesterday. He gave me some new meds. He might fill out my paperwork for disability, but he wants me to have a functional capacity analysis first. So, we\'ll see. I do hope you get some support. We have lived in poverty because I can\'t work, but I was killing myself. I think my family prefers me to the money. I\'m sure yours does as well. Much love.

Thanks so much for the support! I think you\'re both right--working full time just isn\'t in the cards right now. Letting go of control is *hard* though! I\'m sure the neuro will want tests and other things before paperwork, but I am not balking this time. No more \"well maybe this can help\" this time. Nothing has worked and my body can\'t take it in the meantime. Last year the closest thing to a resolution that I had was to accept my disease for what it is. This year I have to accept what I can and cannot do. So I will do the best I can while we work on paperwork, but I\'m not going to kill myself over it. Thanks again!
