It's been a year since I wrote last

Last year - almost to the day - our middle guy (who was 24 then) revealed to us (my husband too) that he had a heroin problem that started with prescribed pain medication he needed for the tonsillectomy he had had two years prior. 
In the last journal entry i wrote - he detoxed and was able to stay away. Today he has  $8000 in the bank and pays on his school loans and car insurance. Mind you he still is fighting a drinking problem and hope that one day soon he'll be able to get that monkey off of his back......
