It\'s been a month!
I continue to remain sober! I am removing the beer from my fridge to make room for my mineral water (just like beer, without the beer), my vegetables, my berries. My husband thinks I've lost 10-15 pounds in the past four weeks. Well, not drinking beer and wine helps, and I remain faithful to my alkaline diet (never thought raw, organic almonds would be my favorite snack!) My biggest failing diet-wise is dairy. Still loving the cottage cheese and yoghurt. Not as bad as ice cream, but still wishing I could cut down a little. Cottage cheese with grape tomatoes, maybe some pine nuts or sesame seeds, garlic olive oil, sea salt and black pepper....yum...my favorite dinner. Yoghurt with berries for desert. My breakfast drink (after my soy milk latte...can't seem to give up that caffine...don't really want to), is OJ, Dr. Schultz SuperFood, Frequensea, maybe a little cherry juice, all blended together...sometimes I add sesame seeds (great source of copper and magnesium). My "lunch" ...juiced vegetables. Today, asparagus, brussels sprouts, carrots, maybe a radish or two, garlic, spring onion. It can be a dose, trust me. I put too much garlic in my drink the other day and threw it all up! But I cut it with cucumber and tomatos...much less garlic, and it is drinkable, even enjoyable again. I'm adding spouts soon as well. Bottom line: My RA seems to be more under control than before. The fatique is MUCH less, my energy is MUCH more (at least for me...I tend to be low energy anyway). My health in general seems really good. My skin looks better. My biggest problem today is my osteoarthritis. Oh man that right hip hurts! But my outlook is good and I am hopeful today!
