It's been a long time since I have been on
I made it through the holidays and everything that the family did kept my pain for Nattie and Rocker under control. I went to pick up the grave ornament and someone had busted it up. I usually go and pick up what i leave a little while later to keep as a keepsake. Next time I will just leave flowers because they seem to leave those alone and I can dry them out if they are still worth doing it.
My son went through the temple for the first time last Friday which is a special event in our church. I started going back a year ago so it was really fun to see him go and to be with him. I gave him a journal so that he can start writing down events and feelings. He seemed to be quite pleased with the gift.
Ashlynn (6) helps me now fill my water chamber for my CPAP machine every night. She will sweep and mop the kitchen floor for $.25 and she does a pretty good job. I try to involve her in housework so that she will know it when she gets older when she is out on her own.I took her to Salt Lake City with me to my sisters. We went to feed the ducks and if I can figure out how to put them on here from my phone I will put the pics on. There had to be about 50 ducks and geese. I had to return home (40 miles) through a horrible rain storm. It was hard to tell which lane you were in because of all of the construction shifts so I am glad that I made it home safely.
Sorry for writing a book but it has been awhile, I will try to be on more often.
Have a great day 8^)

Can\'t believe there were so many geese and ducks. Glad you had a great day!
So many nice things are going on for you now. It sounds almost normal. I know that temple is important to LDS people. This was, indeed a big moment for both you and your son (more specifically). How old is he? Will he go on a mission or has he mentioned an interest in doing this? I know a lot about this as there are many ex-mormons in the atheists group to which I belong. They have many stories and the one thing that they miss is that grand sense of community that Mormons build around them wherever they are congregated. It is interesting to also note that the athests group is also trying to build this kind of relationship between members with those former Mormons being the ones who are going to try to put this together. We are already beginning a list of our skills and abilities to work with one another and to support each other. Fascinating.
Take care. Hugs.
My son is going to be 29 in June. Neither of my boys wanted to serve missions which I am actually glad. Their dad did and it wasn\'t what I would believe a Mormon should be like. He even broke up two Temple marriages to marry one of his internet women (7 of them to choose from) he should have been excommunicated but being a man seemed to be slapped on the hand. I agree that the Mormons have their little community or in Utah should I say many small communities as where you can find A LDS church within a mile of each other. Their doors are always open for other people, I respect all people and their choice of religious beliefs. I even left the church for about 5 years because of the lifestyle of my ex and what the church preaches. I really believe our church is true and that the boy Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon. We have 13 Articles of Faith that I feel is the best way in a nutshell what our church is all about. My other son is an atheist also and I respect the way he has chosen to live his life. I think that my youngest daughter might be bisexual but that is just the feeling I get when she is around girls and guys and I accept her for who she is. I know both sides of the fence when it comes to religious beliefs I just believe that our church is true as others also believe theirs are.I am grateful that you respond to my journal as to when others hear I am a Mormon no longer talk to me... some on here.
