It's almost Christmas

I just don't know how I am going to handle it. I think I won't be going to any of the Christmas functions at the church. I probably will not even attend services the day after Christmas.  I am not handling social situations very well. The last one I went to I could have kicked myself for not having taken my car.  I was held prisoner amongst all the happy, excited people.  It was all I could do to hold the tears back.  I'm not looking forward to having guests Christmas and yet I know when they leave I will feel twice as lonely.  I don't want to be alone until I am with people.  Then when I'm with people I just want to be alone.  They were suppose to have set Dix military stone yesterday.  Before I go to the church this morning I will drive down & see if they did not get it done or if they simply forgot to call.  It is cold this morning so I will probably not get out of the car.  I can see the sites from the car.  It will be up in the 70s (crazy TX weather) the next few days so I will go out and put mom's Christmas present in place.  Her garden stone. I am postponing the inevitable here.  I must get into my black wool slacks,  (will do that in the breezeway... you learn to do this when you have large hairy dogs) put a sheet over Dix dirty truck seats (my car in shop) and move on to the cemetery & church.  I wish you all the best Sunday that you can have.  Love, Val
