It\'s a bird..it\'s a plane...it\'s Radioactive Man

I had my cisternogram today. Not surprisingly it was much easier than I imagined. (Of course what I imagined would have been in line with the interrogation techniques of Dr.Fu Manchu.) I arrived on time and they whisked me right back to the dungeon...er, xray lab. Normally there is a brief wait at hospital clinics but not today. I think they wanted to grab me before I had time to chicken out.  After they withdrew some CSF fluid from my spine for testing, they injected me with some radioactive dye. Then I spent the next 4 hours in  bed while they watched me being inactive. I must have done a decent job of it because they then took me down for pictures. Asthma must have thought that I was neglecting it, because the nurse said that I had started to wheeze while en route to xray. I didn't even notice it myself . She had me use my inhaler.. and magically the wheezing stopped. She then wheeeled me on down to xray. After a 60 minute photo shoot, this tired ,not so super, model went home. Later in the afternoon though, I experienced a metamorphosis. I was more energetic and I was walking normally. Having spent the better part of my preteen years reading comic books, I immediately knew the answer. It was the radioactive matter that they had injected into me. Today I have more energy...tomorrow.?.. I'll be Radioactive Man!  I wonder what kind of cool costume I should make for myself? I'll have to check into costumes with a "relaxed" fit. After all I am 60. Most superheroes start a bit younger.Actually I am a little giddy. (Hid it well, didn't I?). The test is over and I know now that if it has to be repeated, it's fairly tolerable. All in all, not a bad day.Be well,TOM
