It's a BOY!!
My aunt did my ultrasound on Thanksgiving. It's a BOY! The 4D pics were a little scary since I'm only 17 wks and he's got a lot of developing to do. Glad that I goggled 4D ultrasound 17 wks images or I would be freaked out! LOL. He looks like a little alien right now. We are so excited. We would be happy either way but a boy was our 1st choice. I knew all along! DH had a dream it was a girl and convinced that it was. We had my parents, my brother, my niece, my grandma, and my aunt all to share with us! Everyone was in tears! It was wonderful.
UNTIL... we went to my in-laws. We brought the CD with the ultrasound images on it. The last shot was of his wee wee so they would be surprised. My MIL reaction: "It's a boy.. sigh. FIL: nothing, SIL: "not another boy!"
What the fuck.. is wrong with ppl?!!!!! Pardon my language.
They all know our struggle to become pregnant and this is their reaction!!! REALLY!??? I was in shock. Yes, I realize that your grandkids are both boys and that you have a great-grandSON on the way but seriously!! What was almost as bad was my DH reaction when we left. He said I am just taking it the wrong way and I'm just hormonal. I said he is so used to their negativity and them being miserable and he is delusional. We didn't argue about it but I'm just amazed that he doesn't see it.
The reaction of my family and his family are night and day.
Honestly, they can suck it. DH and I are on cloud 9 and couldn't be happier.

Your families sound like ours! My husband always tried to defend his by saying I am the one taking their reaction the wrong way, so I totally get where you are coming from. But at least your family and the rest of us are totally excited for you!!!
Did we have the same Thanksgiving or just have the same MIL?!?! Lol Congrats on having a Boy!! It sucks that inlaws can be so mean. I just keep telling myself \"I hope I remember how this feels & NEVER do it to my kids & spouses\" Don\'t let them bring you down, in my opinion, boy/ girl it doesn\'t matter. A healthy baby & pregnancy is all anybody should want for you. Especially if they knew about your struggle....congrats again on your little boy
Oh how exciting! I bet the 3D was super cool! Congrats on having a little boy! It\'s great that you had some really fun reactions, and you are right... screw the in-laws! They will be missing out by not feeling overjoyed at any blessing that gets thrown their way. Too bad for them. Yay for you guys! Enjoy your time. I hope you are feeling good and growing a good belly :)

So happy for you! Little boys are amazing. I wanted 1 of each but am so happy with my 2 little men. It doesn\'t matter to us IF girls we are just grateful to be given the opportunity to be mommy\'s. So happy for you!!
CONGRATS! How exciting for you! And yes, the 4D pictures walk the line between cool and creepy; one of ours looked like she was screaming in one of ours, but she was probably just yawning ;)
How frustrating to deal with that reaction from your in-laws -- especially since they know of your struggle. I hope they eventually \"warm up\" to the idea, and if they don\'t, their loss. You two enjoy your little man :)
