Issues and Responses About Spyware and Spyware Blockers!

Could it be just me, or has someone else realized that the "goooooogle" AdWords are showing up almost every-where?

It seems like just about everyone has determined to place AdWords on the sites, in the hope of making some additional cash.

Obviously, I find these (and other) embedded advertisements really irritating and distracting. I am sure I am perhaps not the only person that's gone for some heavily promoted sites, and perhaps not know where you can click... it appears as though most AdBlocker advertisements on the page get you to different internet sites, along with your press paying someone.

An instant search on the net appears a lot of popup ad blockers, but very little is said concerning the advertisements that are built-in to internet pages.

Properly, I have discovered a rather efficient way to stop them from appearing, which also makes several webpages a whole lot more readable.

Although some persons search at maxthon as a small competition to IE, Opera & Firefox, I see it more being an overlay for Internet Explorer, which provides IE much more functionality, with nearly nothing of the incompatibilities of a non-IE browser.

The reason is that under the covers, Maxthon is clearly Internet Explorer, but it has tabbed exploring, RSS help, helps skins & plug-ins, and most importantly: it could remove popup and inline ads using a function named adhunter.

Adhunter has a number of pre-configured filters that can stop the great majority of ads.

The types of advertisements plugged by adhunter belong to 6 categories:

1) The popup blacklist (uses a configurable builtin listing of keywords used by adverts)

2) Vehicle popup blocker (blocks car popups, unless specifically allowed)

3) Internet advertisements blocker (also called this content filter). Blocks advertisements builtin to a website, eg: Bing AdWords

4) Internet discussion blocker (blocks internet dialogs... this stops a lot of legitimate stuff)

5) Move ad blocker (blocks these troublesome advertisements that move on the top of page you wish to view)

6) ActiveX blocker (blocks advertisements that use activeX to show windows).

I often help the first 3 categories, but I also configure the "whitelist" or conditions list, so that adhunter does not stop any "https" pages, and some other internet sites that I am familiar with (eg my conditions list for this content filter looks anything similar to this:

This can allow advertisements from all https internet sites & everything within https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/adsremoved-adblocker-popu/cnjeigndamicmdckankknlipliiffchk

Obviously any site that does not search proper, may must be included with the exception list.

Likewise any advertisements & popups that aren't caught by the standard filters can rapidly be included by writing CTRL-Q

For those troublesome thumb ads, Maxthon vessels with an additional "plugin" that enables you to stop or save your self thumb ads/images. This is a slightly more manual way that the bult-in adhunter filters, but is effective with internet sites that you visit regularly.
