Isabella Marie McNamara-Sanders
Hi everyone,
Thank you all for your warm wishes. Christina & Isabella are doing great. I finally got to hold her last night. She's teeny! 6lbs, 8oz. and 19 & 3/4 inches.
She has a big name for a little girl. McNamara is Christina & my son's last name and Sanders is Christina's boyfriend Terrell's (I call him T) name.
Lots of family came to meet her even T's family who he is estranged from. He is close to his great Gram who raised him for much of his life. My ex-husband, Eddie's Dad came & he finally met Joshua who was able to be cordial and shook his hand even though Joshua has much resentment because of how my ex treated Eddie when Ed was growing up before he got sober. Now that he's sober he wants a relationship with Josh (Christina's OK with the ex - they've been seeing each other for a while now), but Josh has been reluctant. As I said to the ex its a start anyway. Nothing like a sweet baby to bring folks closer.
As always, some of the experience was bittersweet. Christina is heartbroken because Ed's not here. And as she said people keep saying, "but he's with you" and she says. "so to speak". I said, "No its true, he's not physically here and that's hard." So as usual she cried, I cried, Josh cried. But its OK. Isabella is safe with her mommy & Daddy and somehow Ed is a part of it all.
Heavenly Father, thank you for Isabella's safe arrival and Christina's safe delivery. Please help these young parents to do a great job with her. Keep her safe. In Jesus Name, Amen.
Hi Eddie, well what do you think of your little girl having a little girl? Wow , right? I wish you were here. Love always and forever, mom. Miss you!! xoxo
Have a good day - love to all.

How beautiful for you to be able to name and validate her feelings without trying to take her \"out of them.\" What a gift you are, Linda, to your family and to each of us here. Oh, yes, such a grand name for a tiny bundle. She will no doubt wear it very well. Love to all as they get to know one another. Such joy!! Much love great grammie that you are and I\'m sure you were missing Ed so very much as how could you not! Special love and congratulations. Joanie
Awwww, congrats on your little grand daughter!!! You have got to post pics when you can! Can\'t wait to see her! Love and hugs, Angela
What a beautiful name:) Yes, she will have a time writing it over the years, but she will be proud of it just the same:) Little bitty dainty baby girl. You can dress her up and make her pretty in all the sweet little dresses. I\'m so glad everything turned out perfectly. Hope mommy is doing ok. I\'m so happy for you. Can\'t wait for pictures. I know your sweet Eddie is so proud. Love and hugs, Danette
Congratulations! I hesitate to say it, but \'what the heck\' It must feel great to be a great granny! I am so glad both mom and babe are doing well. It is incredible how much power newborns have to bring people together.
I can understand Christina\'s feelings. Even though you know they are there, that physical presence is forever gone. The hugs and conversations, and watching Isabella grow together. But Christina is so blessed to have you in her life - someone who knows the pain of losing Eddie.
I know that you and Christina will keep him alive for her.
So enjoy your beautiful Isabella, and your new status!
Love and hugs,
Marlene
It\'s all good.....a baby is a marvelous miracle that can make things seem much better and they will be. I totally believe Ed sees the baby....probably saw the baby long before all of you did. I was crying one day not long after Mom died, saying how I felt so bad because she couldn\'t see my grandchildren anymore and they were at precious ages.....and she zoomed into my head (very strange...it was like an echo chamber thing, and all noise around me stopped) and said, \"I most certainly do see them! I see them now more than I ever saw them when I was on earth (she had been so ill). I am with them every day now.\" Then boom, it was done. I cried and laughed at the same time with joy. Oh yes, Ed is seeing the baby. Praise God!

How can you be a great granny? Life is just so interesting. Enjoy these days, they go by so quickly. Even though to the parents it seems like forever. One year for being a baby. That\'s about all. Love to you, Linda, and the new, young family.
Linda, so glad to hear everyone is doing good. I bet the baby is beautiful...just as pretty as her name. Bless Christina, I know she must really miss her dad and that he is not there to enjoy this baby. Love & Hugs, Kim
Babies are such a beautiful blessing from God. A reminder that life continues, in spite of it all! Congratulations.
