Is this where God is Leading me?

Hello all,

I think it was last week I didn't go to a Knights meeting because I did not feel good.  One of my  brother Knights emailed me later in the evening that the Knights of Columbus is looking for a field agent to cover the west side of Rochester and about half way to Buffalo.  I found myself seriously thinking about this.  Today I drove out about 20-30 miles for an interview at (but not for) Tim Horton's.

When I was working on my BS degree in Software Engineering I was seriously thinking of starting my own business.  But I thought it would be in the software field.

The interview was very similar to other interviews I have been on.  The questions were very good in that they not only gave the knights the information they need, but it also let me see if I am interested in the job.

The person who interviewed me also said that his job with the Knights is the only job he has held, getting the job right out of college.

Back 30 years ago I was thinking that my work life and spiritual life would be separate entities, and would never meet. Since my first nervous breakdown in 2006 I have looked at life with an open mind.  A few years later when I took the spiritual exercises of St. Ignatius it brought me ever closer to God.  In July when I was hospitalized I knew it was time for a major change of career.  Since then I have done a couple of things that I want to do, that I know it is time to do (especially since I am now unemployed):
1) started studying for my CDL (Commerical Driver's License) to drive school bus,
2) Applied to and been accepted at the local volunteer ambulance.  Passed my physical so now I need to take a training course.
3) Applied to and been accepted into the New York State Access-VR program for people with disabilities (in my case mental illness).  I'm going for a career assessment next week.

Now I find myself really thinking - scratch that - feeling, if life insurance is what God is leading me to.  The things that I like about the job:
1) It is helping people make financial decisions about their future.
2) It gets me out and around a good sized area. To go from one corner of my area to the other corner would probably take an hour to an hour and a half, making it a substantial size area.  Of course in winter time it would take more than that.  The curious thing is that my Dad was a serviceman for the local gas company for many years, and I am looking at doing 3 jobs that involve driving.  I have always enjoyed driving.
3) When I was hospitalized the 2 things I was thinking of doing were driving ambulance and doing Public Relations.  And the work for the Knights would definitely be public relations.  And it might be possible for me to work with some non-profit agencies in Rochester helping with Public Relations.  Statistically Rochester's schools do not perform well, and the percentage of people living below the poverty level is pretty high.  When I really started to think about those numbers it became apparent to me that I need to help with that.

The Knights Chapter that I am involved with had their fall event last week.  At the end of the event we had a good sized amount of food, and instead of throwing it out we donated it to a local program.
This is my Journey of Faith
