Is this really happening?
So my boyfriend and I are planning on living together, I am graduating college after 5 years, he is just finishing his fourth and was planning to begin his 5th to graduate next May. Unfortunately, he has no more loan money left to be able to do this. Noooooo....noooo :(
College is important to both of us. I would love to support him through this, especially if I get a salaried job, but it just puts that twisted thought in my mind that maybe my dad is right, and my boyfriend wants someone to be financially responsible for him.
I can't deal with this right now. Not at all

Why would your dad think this if your boyfriend has been paying his way up til now? We all know the economy sucks hugely and everyone is struggling to keep going.
I would think if you two really love each other and plan on marrying in time helping him through his last year would be investing in your future together.
Many women have done that over the years, many, many women and some have gotten royaly screwed once their man graduates and starts making some serious money. BUT many more have benefitted by helping their man get ahead so he could take care of them and their family once children came along.
I would hope if you\'ve reached the point of wanting to live jointly you would know each other well enough to know if he is a man worth your trust and help or is he a user like your dad thinks?
Going back and reading this now almost is funny. My boyfriend is getting his brother to co-sign a loan for him, and everything is going to work out. Everything keeps falling into place with him and I. Every time I think we\'ve hit a road bump...it sounds cliche, but it brings us closer together. What the hell
