The love you will receive back is so healing... I have 2 rescue dogs and they are more loving than my \'full\' bread.. although the one is a full bread cocker... have your tried your local pet smart.. ours has rescue days... or have your contqacted your local SPCA? or did you want a pup ? My one rescue I got as a puppy (8 wks) the other was almost 8 years and both are the best dogs...
Hugs and kisses and love galore !
That is sooo funny cause I am trying for the same thing. Even muts are expensive and they are my favorite cause they seem to be healthier longer. There is a test you can take to see what kind of dog is the best fit for you. Mine turned out to be an American Eskimo standard. I had never heard of this dog before and it costs between $700 to 900, they also do not have any local to me . I know I do not want a puppy cause I am no longer interested in the destruction. In the past I have alwasy been drawn to German Shepards but I now live in a condo so I need to revisit that selection. Let me know how you do in your dog search. Hugs, Inga

There are so many dogs in shelters that would make wonderful pets. Check out rescue groups for the specific breed you want. Please don\'t go to a breeder. I have six (yes I\'m nuts) rescue dogs. They are all wonderful. Good luck to you.. Love, Mary Kay
I hope you find the perfect dog that will bring you so much joy...
I think you should rescue a puppy. Because they will rescue you when you need it the most. Keep looking till you find your match. Penny
The shelter that\'s closes to you KathyLee, is the NH SPCA at http://www.nhspca.org/. I\'m a little more familiar with the Cocheco Valley Humane Society, http://www.cvhsonline.org/. I believe rescued pets are an excellent way to go, as well as quite a bit less pricey than buying a pet from a breeder. Good luck. I always wanted a big dog, but I\'ve learned that small ones are just as good but in a smaller package!
Okay, dog groomer for Petsmart talking here LOL. Number one, be VERY careful of advertising for a specific breed of dog online. Do not fall for any of the online scams for dogs from other countries. All scams. You want to avoid pet stores that sell dogs as well. The majority of those dogs come from puppy mills and have issues that you will have to later deal with. These dogs are kept in horrific conditions with malnourished mothers and are taken from the mother much too young (in order to be shipped to the pet stores so they are 8 weeks old at time of delivery) and they have not learned basic instincts that only the mom and siblings teach. If you want a specific breed so badly, you will have to pay the price to a reputable breeder. All reputable breeders will require you to sign a contract to return the dog if it does not work out. If they don\'t, they don\'t care. And they don\'t care what they are giving you. My suggestion to you is to look into pom, poodle, shih tzu or maltese rescue groups. You will still pay an adoption fee, but that normally covers the cost of their shots and being spayed/neutered. They come to you completely healthy. And usually, these places will accept them back if it does not work out. Be very careful and best wishes to you on finding a perfect \"match\" for you and the dog. Please look into shelters. There are so many guys/gals out there looking for a home! Love, B
I have five dogs and for the longest time, they were the only thing that made me smile. I hope you get a \"furry\" friend to love. Love to you. Robin
Hey girl. I\'ve left a message for the breeder that I got Maui from and as soon as I hear something from her I\'ll let you know. Last year she sold her boys for $500 and her girls for $600. I know it can be expensive when you add all the vet bills, food, toys, bedding, and all the millions of things dogs need...or we want them to have. But I tell you I just can\'t imagine not having my two babies. Monday and Maui are so much fun and give unconditional love. I highly recommend yorkie\'s and will never be without one. One word of warning, they are typically harder to potty train than other breeds. But with lots of patience it does finally happen. Maui is 8 months old now and still having accidents. It took Monday a full year to stop having accidents in the house. So, hopefully in another couple of months Mr. Maui will get the idea that he\'s suppose to go outside everytime, not just when it\'s convenient. Good luck!
Try the ASAP or local pound for a resue puppy. Worth a try. Love and hugs Cathy
Just take a look at my puppy, I have a photo of Morgan with Titus, having Titus to hug gives great pleasure. Nora
