Is Harry Belafonte A Naive End For The Far Left?
In my opinion, Harry Belafonte, is a mouthpiece for the far left, but, he's not naive. I believe the h-e was an incredibly talented singer who misses the limelight and is merely wanting to garner publicity and notice. I don't believe he cares what he says so long as people look closely at him. H-e reminds me of Howard Dean and other has beens who will do or say such a thing (true or maybe not) to be able to keep their names and faces in the newspapers and o-n tv. Harry Belafonte isn't stupid and it would take a very stupid American to trust that Hugo Chavez isn't a 'petty tyrant', a fraudulently elected 'dictator' and a dangerous enemy of america and of Latin America.
For Mr. The Snoring Mouthpiece Review Awards Z Quiet Its Mad Mouthpiece Of The Year Award For 2019 contains additional info about the reason for it. Belafonte to produce claims to Chavez like, 'We respect you, appreciate you, and we're expressing our complete solidarity with the Venezuelan people and your revolution.', 'Regardless of what the greatest tyrant in the world, the greatest enemy in the world, George W. Bush says, we are here to share with you: Not hundreds, not thousands, but millions of the American people.. . . Help your revolution.', to accuse the U.S. news media of incorrectly painting Chavez being a 'dictator,' when the truth is, he said, there's democracy and people are 'optimistic about their future.', to call President George W. Bush 'the maximum enemy in the world', would make you think that Mr. Belafonte is definitely naive and ignorant. Nevertheless, by saying this he got a huge number of free publicity, and in 'show business' there is a saying, 'no publicity is bad publicity.' A lot of people who had never heard of him or did not understand that he was still around, are now thinking about him. I would not be surprised if his record sales didn't improve a minimum of temporarily.
Belafonte has also stated that African-American officials within the Bush administration are 'black tyrants', that Secretary of State Colin Powell was a 'house servant' and he's compared the Bush the administration to 'Adolf Hitler's Nazi Germany.'
Come to think about it, maybe Mr. Belafonte isn't desperately seeking advertising, maybe he is just mentally deranged. Either way, some one should put a muzzle on him in order to keep him from spewing therefore much hate and malice. Free speech is a very important factor, but hate speech is something different.
I find this whole Belafonte chaos very disappointing. I'd have preferred to remember Harry Belafonte whilst the excellent and gifted singer that he was, never as the spiteful and hateful person that he has become..
