Irene aftermath

I had a large broken limb on a poplar tree on my front lawn that needed to come down. It had broke completely off and was wedged between two limbs so I pulled on it to try to free it but it would budge so I grabbed it with both hands and tried to yank it away from the main part of the tree when it came loose, jacknifed against the ground with the biggest part falling toward me. I didn't know this because my back was turned and my wife let out a holler and I moved just enough and just in time as it missed my head by inches as it came crashing down!
A close call that turned out ok.  possibly a miricle that I didn't get hurt on this one. Phew! What  a relief!
