Introduction
Hi all
Just starting to reach out to find other people who maybe have/are going through a similar situation. We found out 9 months ago that our son had sexually abused our two daughters since they around 5/6. He was about 11 when he started. It was extreme. Needless to say, we are shattered. Our son has not lived at home since the week we found out. I have not seen him since and don't know that I ever will. My mother heart is completely torn, but I need to do what is best for our girls. How do you grieve someone who is still alive? There is so much grief, I don't' know where to begin.
The only family we turned to for help are blaming us big time, and my sister in law even used to be a counsellor with the same support group we are having counselling through. My sister in law even took certain matters into her own hands against our wishes, just to make life even more painful.
I am also noticing that I am having more and more panic like symptoms - at the thought of our son, any mention of violence or sexual abuse, seeing a man with a young girl on their lap and more. I think that I have PTSD, but am not sure. I was abused as a child in several ways and by different people and have recently started working through this with my counsellor.
Does life get any easier? I hate what this has done to our lives. I feel as though our girls have been robbed of so much. We are in the process of finding a new house to live in after almost 30 years building what we thought was our home, but I feel as though it is a prison.
Hope to meet some of you and learn.

I know the feeling sweetie. I can\'t look at Santa clause in the mall the same. Kids on his lap. The house I grew up in I haven\'t seen since I ran away.
Amazing how similar our stories are. How old are your children now? Whom knew that such a thing could be possible? I asked my oldest son if he had ever been abused by anyone but he denied it. I just wonder why? How could a young boy do this? My daughter told me that her brother started molesting her at 7 years of age and he was 11 . My middle son hasn\'t disclosed any details at all and can\'t even talk about it but he was also molested.
