introduction
Let me start by saying I have never turned to a website for help before, but I feel as if I this is my only option to find people who can understand what I am going through and maybe give me the strength to stay positive.
My husband and I started TTC in February of 2009. I tried all the normal first steps (temp, charting my period etc). In April of 2010 my ob first suggested clomid. This gave me hope... until at the end of the month I didn't have a "normal" period. My ob couldn't/wouldn't answer my questions so three months later at my yearly appointment he referred me to a specialist.
My first appointment with the specialist he talked with my husband and I about our options then they did an ultrasound and diagnosed me with PCOS. They said I have PSOC because I didn't have a normal period (I didn't ovulate) and I had cysts on my ovaries. I do not have other symptoms of PCOS (I am not over weight and I do not have diabetes or excess hair growth). I feel like they just gave me this label to give me a label, not because it actually described what was wrong with me. Anyways they suggested that I didn't have a normal period because the dosage was wrong. This second time on clomid (at double the dosage - it worked)
So now I am on my third time on clomid.. 1 week away to seeing if it worked.
Though I know that this is a process that takes time I am having trouble staying positive. I am tired of trying to explain to others what I am going through and would really appreciate making a connection with someone who can actually relate to what I am dealing with.
