Introducing....
Another mental health sufferer. PTSD, severe depressive episodes, GAD.. lived a very full life of too many traumas that began in 3rd grade, bullied in middle school, peeped on by 2 brothers, raped by their friend in high school, multiple abortions...all led to drug addiction in my 20s, which allowed for more terrible traumas to feed my habit. I have been strangled, pissed on, raped/assaulted more times than I can count. Clean off the hard stuff for over 17 yrs. Survivor of domestic abuse, homelessness. I recently quit abusing alcohol in order to cope with my paranoia, the deep pain, the disconnect..all the fun symptoms we deal with daily. 3 yrs ago I'd go to my fav taco place and not even know where I was. I took my butt to therapy and voila! I finally make sense to my ownself now. It's scary to heal what I've already survived and gone through. It's terrifying to feel. The nightmares are beyond brutal, much far worse than any experience I've had. I've come so far and yet in many ways feel permanently broken at the hands of abusers, peepers, rapists, assaulters. Zero trust. Everyone can hurt me. Life of failed jobs, failed relationships, feeling so off and different than my friends. That's the short version.
