Interesting Article
Hello ladies,
Just thought I'd share this article I read. It's very interesting and makes sense that having a family is the social norm and there's so much pressure to have kids. Obviously we all want kids, but I thought this made so much sense on the way people look at you when your in your 30's and don't have kids. I think people like us who are dealing with infertility get put in a weird space in this article. We get the "why don't you have kids?' question all the time, but we have been trying so hard it just drives my CRAZY when people ask me that!

Saw this earlier. A guy my age at work doesn\'t want kids, I remember asking him lots of questions as to why. I never thought of no children choice- the people I knew without kids either never got married or couldn\'t have kids. I always saw being childless as more so a product of something like infertility- even now I would have assumed the majority of the time that is why, though maybe not. I\'m curious if they know a stat on that, how many are truly choosing. I wonder after years of IF, if you can suddenly decide to go childless. I contemplate that every once in a while, not sure I could choose that without future regrets (especially after a few drinks!)
Thanks for sharing. It\'s interesting how dealing with IF puts a new spin on viewing people who don\'t have kids. Then again, doesn\'t IF change the way we think about everything!? Ugh.
I just saw this as I was scrolling through yahoo. I find it interesting too because I have told people before I do not want kids just to avoid the why do you not have kids question. Sometimes I just find it easy to say I do not want them, than trying to come up with other reasons since we keep our IF issues kind of quiet. So I wonder how many of the people these ladies know that say they do not want kids, also fall into the IF category?
I also find it interesting that yahoo now has an article up about how to be happy with kids...
