Insurance Hassles!

Does anyone else have these hassles?  My RA got so bad in Nov. that I had to quit work.  I spent hours, days, weeks, filing out paperwork for short term disability, long term disability and disability/retirement.  Two of those went great!  I received award letters for both the long term disability and the disability retirement. But the short term disability is another story.  They say they haven't receive info from the Dr.  My RA Dr, that I dearly love, and have been with for 15 + years, assures me she has sent info multiple times.  I have other people call the short term people and once again, they report it is the Dr.'s fault.  They would "love" to release my checks, but just can't until they get Dr. info.  I spent the day on the phone, once again on Friday, trying to get some answers.  Please understand I am being very nice, just double checking with the Dr. to make sure there hasn't been a mix up.  The phone messages got confused and I have it all to attack again on Monday. It is hard enough to face the fact that I am disabled.  To write it down on the forms, to say it over and over, well it feels like a stab in the heart every time.  But then, to get the "look".  All my RA buddies know what I mean.  The look that says, why you don't look THAT sick to me!  To hear that tone in the short term disability people's voices, the one that says, we KNOW you are faking!  Oh, it has made for a very down weekend! Here's praying for resolution on Monday!
