Insecure
My sister is trying to make me insecure about my belly button/scar. Since I was wearing a crop top today she could see my stomach. She looked at it and then said "That's a disgusting-looking belly button". I am trying to ignore what she said but my scar is just a reminder that my mom couldn't wait 9 months to drink or smoke. I could have died because my mom couldn't be patient.

We all have scars. I had open heart surgery at 14 mos of age. So I have had those scars all my life. I am lucky to be here cus I could have died back then. I must have had some great Drs cus open heart surgery was rare back then. So don't let scars bother you or what others say about them.
I'm sorry that your sister is being so mean. If it helps, I don't believe your belly button looks disgusting at all. Your scar is a sign that you're a survivor.
You're not alone in living with a scar. Here are some examples:

I hope that your mom has gotten help for her problems. Hugs.
I think you look great no matter what.
Thanks, Judy.
Thanks, Matthew.
