Injections
3 wks ago I got an injection in my knee. It did npt help but actually made the pain worse. 2 wks ago I got a set of injections in my lower spine. Helped somewhat but touched on other nerves the effected nerves in other areas. Yesterday, I got my 2nd set of injections in the lower back.
I did not want the injections because it never worked in the past. I wal in so much pain and had spent 3 weeks in bed. I got to the point where I said, "I don't care what they do to me if it is going to take away the pain and make me mobile. So, with a negative outlook, I went with the injections.
I woke up this morning pain free. I couldn't hardly walk yesterday, but with rest and the injections something has helped aleaviate the pain. For how long I don't know but I am willing to have them again if it doesn't work for long. My only concern is that I have heard that you can only have 3 injections in the same area only 3 times in one area. Do any of you folks know much about the 3x rule? Is it true or not.

I get botox for my cervical dystonia. I understand they are limited to give you the shots only every 3 months. You can stretch it out longer if they remain affective that long. But, nothing less. I get shots in the same basic area. Hhhhmmmm....maybe you need to research...or, simply ask your doctor. I have learned to be my own advocate. The doctors only know what you share with them. If you have questions...ask! My thinking is: "How will you know the answers if you don't ask??"
