INJECTION
Well, once again another spinal injection....once again woke up in horrible pain..tried walking and getting up and down yet I think the pain is worse in the groin worst than it was..went t church....played the piano....by almost end of sermon pain is really bad do not think the injections just don't work for me....The ones in the neck are really really good...get help for several months after getting them...but everytime they do the lumbar spine...no help....I had never done the lumbar by this doctor before so I was really was hoping for goo results..I am thinking it is going to be spine surgery again another back fusion...up this time instead of the lower spine...but if it takes this pain away I will be very happy....it worked the last time for the lower lumbar so I hope I am not putting to much hopes in another spine surgery
The pain was just instant gone after the surgery so I can hope and dream that it will work...will call the nuerosurgeon next week...see what he think slllI hope he does not say more injections...but I will have to do as he says...I really don't know if I should go on before Christmas or wait until Jan....After the first night and the correct meds for my pain..I was up taking a shower, getting dressed.....feeling great...The main thing is following instructions after the surgery and not lifting or bending.....following the doctor's instructions..I did last time and it went great...my first back surgery I didn't follow instruction so it did not work out good but blame a lot of it on not taking care of yourself correctly...but from then on I will.....don't rush to leave the hospital..
So will see where I go from now....Not worried about the surgery going bad as I have the same surgeon....If I could get in before Christmas and feel I would not over do that would be great.

Sandi, I am going to start the spine injections this Thursday...I hurt my back at work this summer and still am in pain...Most of the people I have talked to said it helped them...hoping it works for me. During the summer I had the groin pain too. I had it real bad for a couple of weeks...Thankfully I had a wheelchair at home so I was able to wheel around the house. It was so bad that I couldn\'t make my last week of PT...couldn\'t walk from the car to the door. Then the pain just went away but I still have the lower back pain...I can\'t stand more than 2 minutes and can\'t walk too far....It really stinks. Will be thinking of you and hoping you find relief....Love, Connie
I hate to hear this Sandi....my husband has this very problem. I responded well with facet injections. It is a wait and see type of thing...all these backs ...grrrrrr.....I do hope you have success and will be pain free soon.....take care, dear friend....love, dale..brandon\'s mom
Ouch. Back pain is dreadful, partly because people can\'t see it so they sometimes don\'t believe it. I hope you get resolution soon. The injections sound extremely unpleasant.

I had gall bladder surgery many years ago. It was an emergency surgery, so I could not pick the date to have it. I spent Christmas eve and Christmas day in the hospital. The nurses and staff were having parties and I got no attention at all. I was so neglected that i filed a complaint with the hospital. This is just my experiance talking, but if you have a choice, try not to be there over the Christmas holidays. (((HUGS)))...Julia
