Indian Restaurant Reviews
As with our previous visits we were more than pleased with the food and excellent service given to us by Tanvir and his team. We all had another great night and would like to thank everyone at Vicetoy for making the evening an extra special time. Chunks of Chicken or Lamb marinated overnight in churned garlic, cooked with fresh green chilli & capsicum. Pan fried Seabass toasted in a blend of spices, green chilli, garlic, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms and mixed peppers. Rajasthan's favourite curried preparation of lamb. Easily the hottest dish of the whole menu.
Great food and brilliant staff will be back soon.. Very polite and helpful staff, and lovely Food,in a Great Atmosphere... Friendly staff and good food, although a little expensive.
Arrange fabulous flowers from our favourite local florist to be delivered ready for your stay. Bouquets are £30, £40 or £50, and include a personalised message. For a flower arranging activity, do ask about group workshops.
When you want to get served like a king then food delivery from ViceroyExpress will be your best choice. Salted Caramel Gelato and Banana Gelato served with toffee sauce, whipped cream and toasted nuts. A sweet soft warm Belgium waffle served with a scoop of Chocolate Gelato and Golden Vanilla Gelato, topped with whipped cream, chocolate sauce and toasted nuts. A creamy, sweet luxurious Indian ice cream made with real Barfi that gives you the liberty to segment it to your preferred portion sizes. Chunks of Fish cooked with coconut and onion, flavoured with the pulp of tamarind. A special tangy masala which is obtained from various spices & herbs mixed together to perfection.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere, not rushed through your courses. Staff are polite and friendly but not over powering. Will be returning again to experience more of the delicious food.
The Viceroy Indian restaurant in Duffield, Derbyshire, is the first of several Viceroy branches that have opened after the initial success of the Duffield restaurant. Situated on Tamworth Street, just off the Town Street, the A6, it is under five minutes’ walk from Duffield rail station, it is ideally located for locals and visitors alike. Viceroy's staff were excellent, both friendly and efficient. The food was also superb so I will definitely be returning. Chunks of spring lamb simmered with browned onion and tossed with spinach & garlic.
We got a booth even though there were only two of us which made for a more intimate meal. Menu selection has some more unusual dishes. The staff are always friendly and cheerful even though they are always busy. It's expensive for an Indian restaurant, but the food is definitely a cut above average. Chunks of fish marinated in yoghurt and spices, skewered with green and red bell peppers. Succulent pieces of boneless chicken tikka marinated in yoghurt and spices Skewered with green & red bell peppers.
Each dish is defined by its main ingredient and leading spices providing a taste that is distinctive and faithful to its base ingredients. Spice Valley was founded in 2018 in the beautiful city of Norwich and became successful rapidly due to the variety of Indian food offered and the highly skilled chefs making them stand out. Spice Valley has been crowned ‘best Indian restaurant” by ARON Award and won Best Customer Service Award at English Curry Awards 2021. It had to be the kala jamun - best described as an Indian dessert dumpling. Served hot, it's soft, sweet and comforting, and a perfect partner to cooling ice cream.
Marinated Chicken cooked in a rich cashew nut, yoghurt and a touch of peppercorn. Cooked with almonds and coconut in a creamy butter sauce. Snow peas, cauliflower, carrots, broccoli, baby corn & beans.
Fabulous food as always. The food was amazing yet again. The quality of the steak is brilliant well worth the money. Great British steak offThis place is absolutely brilliant. We didn't have a booking as we aren't local but we chanced it. The atmosphere is nice and chilled, table was immaculate. My steak was presented really well and the ability to slice and finish off your self is great.
The meat having been marinated previously in a sauce with delicate herbs & special mixtures of spices. Very good Indian restaurant in Derby city centre, Midland Road. Attentive staff, good quality food and a nice environment. We even got the NHS discount and a voucher for next time. When it comes to spice and flavouring your food, our chefs handle all the spices with their expertise to exquisitely balance them so you can enjoy your meal. Although we live near Nottingham, some our family live in Duffield and it's through them we were introduced to Vicetoy .
But have you ever had steak cooked on a piece of volcanic rock while you are sitting at your table? Your own steak, cooked exactly the way you want it. The smell alone is unique and is sure to fuel your hunger as you sip your drinks in anticipation.
