Incredibly peaceful
I wasn't sure what to expect as last time a similar situation presented was the time of cremation, when the pain was intensively penetrating throughout my whole body. Today I placed my wife's ashes in cemetery. I went to the funeral agency, putting the ashes into an urn, and holding the urn in a 30-minute ride to the cemetery, placing it in a niche, seeing it sealed, and then I cited Novena.
I thought I should get more emotional and I sensed some people from the agency and cemetery expected that (they gingerly looked at me in every step of the way). I felt so close to her, but it was not her body, even if I did feel warm while holding the urn. When you hold something lost so dear so close, you are supposed to feel sad. I felt sad when the van passed through some places we used to go and tears were in my eyes, but then came the sense of peace. I am still trying to make sense of this---maybe my inner strength, the environment of a quiet mountain area, or even the chirping of the birds? --- that the dominant feeling was not sadness, but peace?! This was just incredible.

I just knew this would be \"peaceful\" for you my friend. I am so very proud of your courage! Your Yan has been laid to rest in peace. So shall you find the inner peace now at last that you have been seeking. I will believe this for you as I know your Yan would want this for you as well. Hugs, D
Well done. After 15 months I\'m not there yet either. Waiting on M\'s (adult) children to agree with me or come up with a better suggestion.
I love that the day was peaceful for you. Thank you for sharing.
As I read your journal..I am reminded of a similar journey of my own...I again feel that peace..so incredible and amazing. May God grace you with many more of these peaceful moments.
Tiger, I am so glad that this was a peaceful experience for you. I think it is a testament to the relationship you and Yan had together and all of the hard grief \"work\" you have done.
Hugs,
Val
Tiger- I felt the same way when I scattered Larry\'s ashes. It was a journey of final wishes. He wasn\'t there, but it was what he would have wanted, to lay in nature\'s beauty
Tiger, you said \"it was not her body\" and that is my feeling also. My wife\'s essence is somewhere else now, and her ashes are ashes. I hope you continue to feel peace.
Tiger,
You have been in my thoughts and prayer....I\'m thankful for your Peace.
May your journey forward, be blessed with a foundation God\'s Perfect Peace.
Yan has No More Tears, No more Pain....She has Glorious Peace too.
Love to you...Sandra
Thank you all! We are in this journey all together. I feel you were there with me for Yan. Tiger
Tiger I believe you felt peace because you know Yan is at peace. We mourn and are in so much pain because we miss them but ultimately we hope for that same sense of peace someday. She would be so proud of you. God bless.
